I had a seminar to conduct this morning in St. Thomas and I spent last night at the Comfort Inn. It's the only hotel in St. Thomas and I stayed here a few years ago. A continental breakfast was included but I didn't get a chance to check it out. There are no restaurants within walking distance as this hotel on the outskirts of town (there are tons of restaurants downtown) so I went out and got some take-out pizza and brought it back to my room last night. Parking was free as it WIFI (it was quick). The rooms are nothing fancy but my queen bed was comfy. I had a mini fridge, Keurig coffee machine and or microwave oven. I was on the second floor and as a head's up, there was no elevator. There is construction going on (they are renovating the lobby and entrance way) so you have to go in through the side door. read more

A group of us stayed the night while visiting the Railway City Brewery. It was a comfortable stay, however pricy for what you get in return. No complaints about the staff or experience. read more

We were greeted on our arrival at the entrance by 4 or 5 maids smoking. So you had to walk through the gauntlet of smokers to get to the lobby. It went down hill from there. The room was a smoker room and very dated (old). Virtually everything had a burn mark. The bed spread had burn holes, the carpet, the TV stand, the bathroom sink ad even the toilet. Needless to say the room smelled. The air condition was so nosily we had to turn it off and it was 30 degrees outside (that 86 Fahrenheit ). To add to the heat and smells the laundry room was open to the hallway so all the heat and laundry smells drifted through the hotel. The free breakfast was OK but the area was way too small and everyone was crowded around tying to get by each other. There was only a few tables so most people when back to their rooms to eat. Didn't get the room we reserved housekeeping only did half the room and left us with nothing in the bathroom. I'm not sure why I had to convince the front desk that we really needed tp, but it was an issue. I don't mind the earwigs, it seemed to be an anomaly, and the breakfast was good, with extremely helpful staff. But with the lack of amenities, I would not go out of my way to stay here again. read more

Most comfy beds ever, I got room 211 two queen beds so I got my own bed and loved every minute. Breakfast was crazy packed in a tiny room with only 3 tables!? So we took it back to our room which was much better. The room was super super clean and bathroom was a great size. One fail: I called in the morning to see if I could check in a little earlier they said no they are too busy on weekends so I said fine to confirm check in is at 3pm? She said no it's 5pm WTF!?!? When is check in ever at 5pm!?!? Coming in from Toronto rather than fight with the lady there I decided to go to the beach first and then check in later which was no hassle at all but if I hadn't done that and I had to wait past 3 to check in.... I would of been a very very mad woman! Even my confirmation said 3pm. read more

Staff were friendly. Parking easy and right to your door if on the 1st floor. Beds were comfy and pillows that suited all. Rooms clean and updated with flat screen, mini fridge and microwave. Sign outside under new management. Hallways are tired wallpaper. Breakfast upstairs was fine. Same as you get at most hotels. Yogurt, scrambled gags that were real- not,powdered. Bagels, toast, bacon. Make your own waffles. Coffee was good too. Only complaint was the AC that did not have controls on the wall. Had to control at register, had no clue what the knob was turning to as all writing off. Other friends room did have the control on the wall. Bathrooms clean which is very key for me. No problem staying here again for future golf tournaments in area. Price was right at $105 for 2 Queens. read more

Clean rooms, friendly staff, but the real standout is the complimentary breakfast. I've been to hotels that charged four times as much that didn't put on half as good a spread. There's a make your own Belgian waffle machine, for crying out loud! Super impressed, I'll definitely be coming back. read more
