The hot tub was shut down, I checked in Sun, left Wed and it opened back up Tuesday evening. I had to finish and submit assignments for two classes by midnight Sun. It went down and was up and down Mon and Tuesday. You had to pay cash at the restaurant due to the internet (or if you had a credit card put on file for your room before it crashed Sunday). I brought this up to the front desk staff several times and they offered nothing (other than saying I could go down the street to Tim Hortons and use their wifi). Honestly, if I hadn't booked through a travel ap i would have demanded my money back and gone elsewhere (like the one next door that didn't seem to have any issues). Do better.

The fitness room only had 4 equipment; 2 treadmills, 1 elliptical, and 1 pedalling equipment. This was the only hotel in the area that would accommodate 5-6 people to a room. Our room had a pull out couch. Our room was very nicely cleaned. Although I didn't know why the drapes wouldn't close all the way.

The decor is all period inspired, with tin ceilings, rich wood accents, and a cozy fire-side seating areas wherever you go. Your room comes with a full breakfast, including refreshing fruit salad, tangy yogurt, freshly baked items, and a hot, freshly prepared main course - with strong hot coffee and icey fruit juice to wash it down. BED BUGS!!! I stayed a night at the beginning of January…read more My friend and I had checked in to a room with 2 Queens on the second floor, she went out and I took a nap. I slept for over four hours when she came back and found a bed bug laying right on her pillow! We called front desk and housekeeping came and confirmed what we already knew. They put our clothes in bags and moved us to another room on the first floor (possibly moving them with us?) and comped the stay but I still will never set foot on that property again!

Which is a third party company where you can book motel/hotel rooms around the world. The front desk clerk informed me that you can almost always find a better rate if you can the motel/hotel directly. And even if the motel doesn't beat the internet rate with Expedia, they will probably match it. The room itself was a 2 queen size beds. The room was fairly clean. Nothing negative to say about it. They offered breakfast in the morning but I didn't up leaving before breakfast. I wouldn't be opposed to going back here again.

Room was spacious, alarm clock even allowed me to charge my phone since I had forgotten my wall plug adapter. Plan on buying same unit for my downstairs basement room. Tv channels were the clearest of any I've seen in any hotel. My only complaint would be that the showers had barely any water pressure, and that by 10am the hot water tank seemed empty, but quite possible due to it being -30 degrees Celsius outside. At the rate we got I'd happily spend another night in this quaint hotel. A special thanks to the night desk clerk who helped us immensely.

We stayed at Hillside Inn because it was in a good location and was affordable- 70$ CAD for the night. The room was very quaint and clean. The bed was comfortable- however, my one criticism would be that the pillows were NOT comfy! All in all, it was a really good motel!

Could be cleaner but definitely not bad. Nice lobby. Food in restaurant is decent. One issue...bar/bistro closes at 9pm now. I come here for the bistro/bar so I don't need to drive anywhere after having a beverage.

the staff was pleasant and the price was great, but they put us in a pet room because of my service…read moredog. my boyfriend stayed here before and his room was very nice with a fireplace and all, but the pet room was a serious downgrade. it was small, dated, and the bathroom needs a serious redo. there was no cold water, which is something i read in reviews on other sites. no cold water while having a dog certainly was not ideal, i had to wait for the water to cool off before giving it to her. there was dog poop on the grass right in front of our room - which yes, should have been dealt with by the owners - but the extra fee was for cleaning apparently, so i would expect it to be picked up. the room smelled like pets, something that would not occur from my dog, seeing as she is kept clean and groomed, and not allowed to sleep on beds when we are out. i let her as i did not want her to be on the floor. the bed was comfortable however, and it was relatively quiet until 10am when someone LOUDLY knocked on our door. all in all, if you're not travelling with an animal - service or not - this place would be good for a night, but if you have a dog, go elsewhere.
