We were traveling from Mississippi back home to Portland Oregon. We stayed at this hotel because it worked out for the amount of time we wanted to drive. We were so glad we chose this hotel. The room was nice but the best part was the staff. Abby, the manager,was awesome as well as Nate and Melinda. Highway 80 west was closed for 6 to 8 hours the morning of our departure and Nate helped us figure out a route that bypassed the trouble and got us to our next destination. After 8 hours on the road with two cats in the back seat, we were ready for a rest. We had made a reservation in advance and chose this hotel because their website states they are pet friendly. This is NOT accurate. They are dog friendly. CATS ARE NOT ALLOWED. They are NOT pet friendly. We had to scramble on a holiday weekend to find other accommodations. Not happy! I give them 1 star instead of 0 because they let us check in late after 18 hours of driving since we had made reservations a couple weeks ago. However when we got to our room I immediately knew something was off. The counter had a rag on it that had clearly been used by someone due to the fact that it was rolled up in a ball and crusty. Then there was soap that had been opened and used by another person as well as a sink that was full of murky water and wouldn't drain. It was all just so gross that my family had to put a towel down on the shower floor and we also didn't feel comfortable sleeping under the covers because we weren't sure if the sheets had actually been changed. I understand that we didn't book a night at a 5-star fancy hotel. But we also didn't pay for a room that was still dirty probably from the person who stayed in it before us. read more

This hotel appears to be nice but it's not !! The TV didn't work , there isn't any insulation in between floors and you hear everything you're neighbors are doing! Absolutely the worst stay I've had in a long time and I travel for a living! read more

My wife recently stayed there for our daughter's graduation from U/W. She found out afterward, they charged her credit card for an extra night. My wife contacted the hotel to address this. She was told, only the manager could help her. My wife left three message for the manager with no call back. On the fourth attempt, my wife, unfortunately, spoke with the manager who would only identify herself as "Malibu Barbie".... Ms. "Barbie" was very extremely hostile and rude! Ms. "Barbie's" response to my wife was "these things happen all the time, it's just a part of life and YOU need to get over it", then slammed the phone down. This was such a negative experience, we will never stay at another Choice Hotel again! read more

The bathroom reeked of ciggy smoke. Even though we were told it was a 100% smoke free. I get it, you like your cancer sticks but I don't want to get emphysema or cancer breathing your second hand smoke. There are designated baccy smoking areas. Use them!!! read more

after making a reservation at a "pet friendly" hotel when we arrived with car trouble having to wait for the dealership to open in the morning, the clerk refused to let us check in because my wife's service dog "is a pet" and our 2 dogs plus the service dog exceeds their limit of 2 pets. the clerk refused to listen to the law, refused to call a manager and refused to refund our room that she wouldn't let us check in to. read more

This is a nice clean hotel. Friendly staff. The suites are spacious and well equipped for extended stays. The hot tub was great, but they could stand to turn up the pool. It was ice cold. Laundry facilities on site, continental breakfast, and workout room. Far enough off of the interstate to not hear the traffic. Short drive to downtown and the University. read more

Traveling worker so I stay in hotels a lot . Avoid this place. This was the most expensive hotel I've ever stayed in and the price is not worth it!! 190 a night!!! Wow. 1980-90 interior. stains everywhere. My A/C filter looked like a cat fur ball. My door key had to be reprogrammed every day for the week I stayed here!! Super annoying when you get off work and get to your room only to have to walk back to the front desk and wait 5-15 min for the counter person to show up to help you.. Every day!!! The hotel was clean and I had the best shower of my entire trip. The beds were the most comfortable, too. I didn't need to use my own pillows as they had provided four per bed, each of VARYING softness. The bathroom had an outer, separate second sink and space for dressing. The large comfortable chairs for sitting were in the bedroom. No free HBO. The location was convenient to the interstate. It was quiet. read more

Best continental breakfast! They offered hot eggs and bacon! As well as a variety of additional options: oatmeals, yogurts, fruit muffins, toast, English muffins, and of course a waffle maker, and more! My partner and I work at night while we're on tour, so we usually get breakfast late (around 8 or 8:30 am when breakfast ends at 9am weekdays). The hospitality staff were friendly and didn't rush to pack up the food and close down the dining area. It stayed lively with traveling families until we leisurely returned to our rooms. I really appreciated the relaxed environment as a traveler on tour. Oh! Did I mention the food was delicious? Complimentary iced lemon water and sweet tea available 24 hours, as well as the usual coffee, but also a delightful assortment of different teas! They even put out freshly baked cookies that evening. The front lobby had a playful little photo area where you can take pictures with props. The views outside of the mountains and cloud formations were spectacular. The room was clean, bed was comfortable, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. Our room was quiet enough that my partner was able to record his weekly podcast at the desk. Where do I begin! Although the staff was cordial at check in, there were 3 staff and only one working while the other two visited. There were at least 4 customers waiting took forever. The room was clean, but well used. The mattresses were very uncomfortable. The walls are so thin I could hear everything in the adjoining rooms, coughing, showers, nighttime activities! Then there was the free breakfast. Same every day. Scrambled eggs were sitting in water, out of coffee and forks!! When I asked for a fork, they apologized and said their shipment didn't come in and I would have to cut my sausage, without a fork, and eat it with a spoon! I are with my fingers There was no liner on the shower so I ended up with a bathroom full of water. Most of the channels on the TV were scrambled. When I called the front desk, the sweet little girl had no idea what to do about my inoperable Ac and told me to open a window for the night!! So glad to e going home after a long 3 days here. Oh and they are NOT by the university, it is a 15 minute drive and totally not walkable. read more

The front desk was manned by a young man who was very argumentative. The first room we were given stank so we went back to the front desk. The same clerk went to check the accuracy of our opinion. When he came back he said it didn't stink and that he had quite a superior scene of smell. After some debate we were given the privilege of moving to another room. My wife called him from the room to request the Wi-Fi code. He scoffed at her request and explained that he had never used the code and therefore didn't know it. Comfort Inn and suites is a terrible place to stay. I would not trust Them with my reservation. I made a reservation in week in advance I had the confirmation number I showed up by 11 o'clock at night to check into my room and they had given my room away. They left me and my two grandchildren in 7° weather in the midst of a storm in Wyoming this last weekend NEVER stay at the facility. They never offered to help me find a different hotel they abandoned me and my grandchildren despite a reservation with a confirmation number in the midst of a blizzard and one of the coldest night of the year. No I'm sorry - no we didn't mean to do that- The only words they had for me were, I can't help you. read more

Excellent place to stay! These are the things that impressed us: * The room was reserved in my mother's name, but my husband and son arrived at the hotel significantly before my mother and I. They offered to contact my mom so they could check in before we got there and wait for us in our room. After a VERY long two days on the road, this was very appreciated! * They've got cookies. Enough said. * The women at the counter were very helpful and gave us a list of restaurants in the area, pointed out the ones that did door dash, and then told us about the restaurant that would deliver directly to our hotel room. It was delicious. * They have delicious iced tea and water in the lobby at all times - a welcome treat when we'd been subsisting on gas station fair for two days. * When my husband took our dog out for a potty break the women at the counter gave him what they called in "Income and Outgo Bag." This bag had a variety of treats and a poop bag - proving that they are not just pet friendly, they are pet owner friendly! * The morning we were leaving we had a very yummy breakfast, then as we were headed out we saw small bags made up on the counter. A quick check of their label showed they were a "To-go Breakfast" with a bottle of water, a granola bar, and applesauce. * One of the vacuum bags we used to cram way too much stuff in our vehicle un-vacuumed itself. My husband inquired at the desk about borrowing a vacuum the staff rolled out a nice shop vac which we were able to plug in at the light pole right next to our vehicle and vacuum the bag (again). * While my husband was waiting to inquire about a vacuum, he noticed the woman that had been behind the counter was in the pool area (a very nice and clean pool) testing the water. It turns out she was also providing supervision for a group of children who'd been left unattended by their "adult." As a pool operator and lifeguard, I appreciate both the testing and the supervision. read more

Whatever you do- do not stay here. We figured it was right off the freeway, middle value for the area and seemed clean. WRONG. The young woman at the front desk was wildly dismissive and rude. Seriously needs a lesson on customer service. We voiced our concerns over needing Draino for the showers since it was clogged and water went up to your shins when showering (EW!!) and she simply said that's not an issue we deal with? What? It's literally a hotel room we paid good money for. Shouldn't the showers work? Would never recommend this hotel to anyone- honestly even just based on the customer service of that young woman. Only good thing- the young man who was working with her. He was kind, happy to talk and even gave recommendations. Maybe hire more like him + less like her. read more

I booked a room at this hotel because they claim to be pet friendly but it turns out that this hotel discriminates against pet owners with cats. They will only allow dogs. I travel with my pets regularly and have never received such poor service. I've never had a hotel refuse to allow cats on the property. I would have expected to provide a deposit and a $25-30 fee per cat. They refused to provide me with a refund. Avoid this hotel!! read more

Just to fill you in we had a Group Contract with Comfort Inn & Suites for the $91.20 a night that we signed and turned in. With in 24 hrs. Abby there GM cancelled our block with no upfront notification and only sent our Team Manager a email letting her know (not even a call). Abby used the reason that they were over booked and then later after some talking she changed her story that she has the rooms but decided not to give them to us at the rate we were promised. Abby stated the new price was $161.00 and now this morning I found out it has been changed to $199.00. This is the most unprofessional hotel that Cara or myself has ever dealt with and due to lying and unprofessional practices we refuse to give them our money. read more

Wonderful pet friendly hotel! This hotel looks brand new but they said it was recently remodeled. They did a fantastic job. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. They even gave us a welcome bag for our dog with treats and information for the dog park that is 1.5 miles from the hotel. It really couldn't have been any better! read more

This hotel is brilliantly located just off of the interstate. It is not only pet friendly (don't forget to mention the online rate; it's cheaper), but it is remodeled! The beds are so comfortable and the rooms are homey. The pool and hot tub are fantastic and it's a big area for the kids to play. The front desk staff are lovely and made my husband and I feel so welcomed. The best thing about this hotel: THE HOT BREAKFAST! They had waffles with the side options of strawberry toppings and whip cream, scrambled eggs, bacon, and tortillas & salsa! The breakfast lady never let anything run out and she kept up making sure the tables were clean. I will always stay here when I travel to Laramie, WY! read more

We stayed here for 4 nights while in town for my niece's wedding. The hotel staff was courteous, helpful and excellent all around. The room was clean, quiet and comfortable. I would have liked towel racks and a larger breakfast area with perhaps later hours on the weekend but even though Larissa (the woman restocking and seeing to the guests needs) was working alone, she did so with a smile and "can do" attitude! Cudos to her and the front desk clerk for all their help. We'd stay here again in a heartbeat. read more
