First she sent me to have a Cat Scan and then to a Gastroenterologist -- Dr Nassif. I brought him copies of the Colonoscopy that I had the previous year). Initially, I went in for a Consultation. I filled out some paperwork and he asked me lots of questions. He told me what he suspected the problem would be. He did a copious amount of Lab work before the Upper GI procedure and asked a ton of questions. He also told me that I should go on an Atkins Diet to remove some weight that I had gained during and after Menopause. When I went in for the procedure I was given instructions to Fast. I was taken to the an area where 5 Hospital Beds with Curtains. There was a high turnover for each bed. You are instructed to have someone with you to drive you home (because of the after effects of the Anesthesia. I received some Photos -- the only thing about the photos was that they had no description of what I was seeing. It turned out to be Gastritis and not something worse. At my Follow-Up Appointment Dr Nassif seemed pleased with my following a 'Gastritis & GERD Diet' that I had followed and he was also pleased about my losing 20lbs. I found him to be charming, thorough and articulate. He may be a little blunt -- but he wants you to understand what he wants. I was ok with it, but could see where some might be offended.
