Honestly one of the best defensive driving classes I've been to. Jim was our instructor and at first look, you think this jockey guy with a steroid-fueled Mickey Mouse t-shirt is going to totally bore you for the next 6 hours. Luckily, my initial first glance judgement of a stranger was completely wrong. The entire class, we watched one boring video just so he can get the point out that they suck and if you don't want to watch them, stay alert and interact with the class. You can tell this guy likes what he does and he was pretty funny. The best part about his "routine" was that it was fluid and moved on almost seamlessly. He spent a lot of time explaining and answering the FAQ's multiple times right off the bat throughout the class so that everyone was on the same track. He incorporated mini games and joke throughout the class and it was actually pretty fun. I learned some stuff I didn't know and never fell asleep or checked my phone. Not because it was strictly enforced not to, but because I was enjoying my time. I would recommend this class to someone who wants to get it out of the way and not be bored the entire way through. Wow. I don't even know where to start. I haven't taken defensive driving in a long time. The last time I did, I remember leaving and thinking: "the only thing I really learned is "when you tailgate, you give someone you don't even know control over your life". So, I only came to this class because I had already bought an online course and couldn't keep my focus on it to finish it. I waited to the very last day I could take it, a Sunday and I was blown away. I learned so much from this class I wish I had taken notes. Jim is excellent. The class flew by - all 6 hours of it. He keeps the class engaged and asks lots of relevant questions to see if the class can guess the answers and he knows what questions to ask since we ALL answered incorrectly on almost ALL of them. He is SO funny! I had tears in my eyes I was laughing so hard. During the breaks and lunch, he plays comedy videos which - after his teaching - didn't even have me breaking a smile. Even though these were well-known comics! I love the way he threatens to play the state defensive driving video's (the type you would get online) if you don't participate. If I ever have to take another defensive driving class, I will not hesitate to take this one. read more

It was my first time ever having to experience a defensive driving class. I was soooo dreading it. 6 hrs cooped up in a room, discussing driving etiquette- and it didn't help that it was a gorgeous 65 degrees outside on a Saturday. I walked out of this class having honestly enjoyed every minute of it! I wouldn't mind having to take it again! ;) I owe all of this to my instructor, Jim. He was very personable right off the bat, witty and naturally funny. He made this course as painless as is could be and I enjoyed the laughter. After realizing that the class wasn't going to be anything like I had expected, I just sat back and enjoyed ME time. It ended up being a good get away from "life" and I learned a lot that I honestly didn't know about being on the road. I think everyone should have to take this course. Thank you Jim, you sexy beast! I took the on-line course, which was not really very funny at all, but I did find that the animations and films at least helped the time to pass. I had expected it would be several nights work but found it pretty easy to finish the whole 6 hour course in two relaxed evenings. The test questions came at the end of each section, rather than all at the end, so you are tested while the information is fresh AND you know where you stand throughout the process--excellent. Best of all, although I opted for the free first-class mail delivery, the certification arrived this morning, about 36 hours after I finished the course! It couldn't have been here faster if I had paid for one day delivery (which is an option). So kudos to Comedy Driving--the course was neither terribly funny nor well organized, but I did learn a lot and can say that choosing this particular course was an excellent decision. read more

Definitely wasn't what I was expecting for my first defensive driving class! Sexy Jim kept the class easy going and interactive. I learned a lot more than I thought I would. Six hours flew by with all his jokes and stories. I really liked the repetition of the important information we have to know. If anyone asks me where to take a class I will tell them to call Comedy Driving Inc and ask where Sexy Jim is teaching that week! SJ, ease up on my Cowboys! We'll get to the Superbowl eventually.. Man when the courts told me I had to do defensive driving, I was like great I get to sit through a boring class for two days and miss work for two days. Nope! I did a little yelping and I found this place "Comedy Driving Inc." and heard about this guy name Jim and how he is really funny and makes the time fly by with pure laughter and not only that, it's not 2 days of coming here but just one day for only 6 hours and it's all completed. It's a win win!!! I didn't miss work, I got it done in one day and not only that, they were right! He is funny and makes the class fun to be here and boy did the time fly by! I had funny Ray as my instructor on 4-24-16 and he was hilarious!! I thought this was going to be a long 6 hours but actually I had alot of fun and I learned alot of information about the driving world. Ray and I actually spoke alot during the class I felt like he was giving us gold and everyone else just made it very hard for the jokes to come through lol he was really funny and his children are as gorgeous as can be they really do need to be gerber babies lol. I had a good 6 hours with Ray and if I had to do the class again (I hope I dont get any more tickets) I would definitely go to his class. The class (07/01/2016) was great. Jim was the absolute best. I couldn't believe how much I didn't know about the traffic laws. I have been driving for over 40 years and didn't know some of the laws had changed. The class shouldn't be taken lightly even though it was a lot of fun. Driving is a serious business. We all should take these as refresher courses and not wait until we get a ticket. I had not had a speeding ticket in over 20 years and always thought I was a safe driver. I always heard that Defensive driving was boring and or a waste of time. I never had a reason to go until now and I chose Comedy Driving because it was the closest to my house. It's not what I expected at all; it was even better. My instructor on Saturday 10-28 was JIM. He had me laughing the whole time but best of all I actually gained a lot of knowledge. His teaching style made it fun and he was down to earth. I'd go again just to hang out with him. I truly recommend this place because you will not only get your defensive driving out of the way, but on the same token you'll have fun and learn. read more

Like everyone is saying, Jim is great. He makes the class fun by keeping everyone engaged without singling anyone out (if you're shy). He is hilarious and really seems to enjoy his job. It's not cheesy comedy either, it's very funny. I like how he finds a way to work the course in with his jokes as well as talk about/make fun of himself. Don't get him started on Pokemon go! I was so impressed that I did 3 reviews for Jim (google, facebook). I highly recommend taking his class, it's so much better than the defensive driving class that I did years ago. Ha! I got a ticket back in April and requested defensive driving - the ONLY way to go is COMEDY right? So I got a post card in the mail from Comedy Driving and showed up (no appt needed) on a Wed night and spent 6 hours with a group of other violators and our wonderful teacher "JIM" - let's just say, by the end of the night - the course was completed and my cheeks were hurting from laughing so much - I hope I don't have to take defensive driving again anytime soon BUT if I do - I will most certainly come back to "Jim" - highly recommend - super FUNNY!!!! This place is dank. It can turn the terrible task of taking defensive driving into a happy bonding experience! You will laugh and smile and most importantly feel warm and happy inside of you come to this very establishment. Jim is the darkest instructor up in this establishment and I do mean dank. I came into this class thinking that I am going to have to sit through a bunch of boring videos and I will forget everything at the end of the night. Boy does Jim make me forget that notion. Right off the bat he shows one video but proceeds to say if you do not want to listen to the Whataburger guy (really did if you close your eyes) then pay attention and interact with him. Jim's excellent stand up jokes make everything he teaches stick in your head. I highly recommend that if you need to take defensive driving that you take the time to visit Jim. This is probably my favorite driving school in Texas. If you're going to take a driving course, this is the place to do it. The course is interesting and informative. Our instructor, Jim, was able to keep everyone involved and interested and even gave us some great guidance and explanations for some traffic situations not normally covered in the class. Everything negative about a driving safety class was ameliorated by the hilarious delivery and remarkable knowledge of instructor Jim! I was dreading going to this driving class because I have taken them online in the past and they weren't interesting or fun. Right when we walked in we were greeted by Jim who was very attentive and friendly. As the class started he began to make great conversation and jokes. The class was hilarious! It doesn't even feel like you're there for 6 hours or in a driving class at all. I would definitely recommend taking this class, specifically with Jim because he's so funny! Worked a 14 hour shift the night before and had about 3 hours of sleep before I had to go to defensive driving, so in other words I was not in the mood to go to a boring defensive driving course at all. I've been to other "comedy defensive driving" and I did not have a good time or laugh at all. I went to Comedy Driving Inc. in League City and had a totally different experience. Great Training by Jim. He kept an otherwise boring topic on defensive driving interesting. There's no way I would have wanted to sit through online videos with boring state instructors. Interesting debate on Traffic Law. Jim knows Traffic Law better than if not more than most police officers. The breaks are often enough that you don't have to worry about sitting in class or getting tired. Bring your lunch or eat at nearby Fast Food spots during 30 min lunch break (Taco Bell, Wendy's are within walking distance). read more

No one wants to do a driving course but if you have to by all means come to this location and I know you will enjoy it!..yes you will enjoy Defensive driving go figure..lol The instructor for this location is Jim and he is awesome and happens to be funny too! I was experiencing some serious anxiety but he reassured me he would help me out and he has done just that. He has kept the class entertained and we are learning (go figure) while having fun!
