However, at checking out she said it was well over $200 and that the prices online were incorrect. If the color was great I would have been ok. However, it's going to cost over & $100 to fix this. My daughter is really upset about this look and me about the cost. I will say the cut was done nicely but the color is so bad she will wear her hair up until it's corrected.

However, my daughter went in for a prom appt last May and unfortunately and unbeknownst to me, we were given what seemed to be a new and inexperienced Male hairstylist. My daughter showed Sam an example of a half up and half down updo with some soft beach waves. Instead, she received an updo that lacked sheekness and elegance with tight curls. I honestly could have done a much better job and have in the past, but wanted to avoid the stress of doing her hair on such a special occasion. I honestly don't think that any person going to a special event such as the Prom or a Wedding should have to go through the horrific experience we went through on this day. This is my first time writing a negative review, but we were upset that the manager disregarded how upset we were and never received an apology from anyone. This was very upsetting. I understand that like any job it takes time and experience for a hairstylist to become very good. However, shame on them for allowing an inexperienced hairstylist to take on updos on such an important day as the Prom. The receptionist could have mentioned that perhaps he was new. I regret not taking a picture. I had to immediately redo her hair at home in a 30 minute window before pictures were taken. The salon itself is the coolest place ever, and both Dinah and Torrie are probably the coolest people I have ever met. I immediately fell in love with Dinah and felt like I had known her my entire life. She really took the time to discuss my hair goals, and even though I was having trouble articulating what I wanted, she expertly interpreted my malarkey. The result is PERFECTION. (I have already gotten several compliments!!) She also proposed a schedule of maintenance that aligns with my hair's actual needs, as opposed to the standard schedule that most stylists propose simply because that's the norm. Dinah defies the norm via disruptive innovation in the way she runs the business, which is really refreshing. So many salons operate like it's 1995, but Dinah is forging a new path. I have the utmost respect for her pricing structure because it's based on the value, expertise, and experience that she (and Torrie) provides, and there is none of the BS associated with the standard tipping model. For the record, Dinah is worth about 10,000X what she charges; she is *that* amazing. In addition to the magic she performed on my hair, the overall experience of being in her salon is truly amazing. I had SO much fun during my session that I am literally counting the days until my next appointment. I truly felt like I was hanging out with some girlfriends, albeit the coolest ones on the planet! I also love that Dinah cares about the planet. She is committed to using products that have minimal to no impact on the environment but still provide stellar performance. She also partners with Green Circle Salons in an effort to decrease repurpose/recycle up to 95% of the salon waste. I really appreciated how she took the time to sit down with me at the beginning and listen to what I was going for, as well as any concerns I had. she was honest and respectful and just all around had a great energy and is good at what she does. my last haircut was back in October and it still looks great. I receive compliments about it on the regular and anytime I do I'm sure to say "IT'S ALL THANKS TO TORRIE AT TEXTURED PETITE, DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND GIVE HER A VISIT."
