I'm a disabled Veteran, we traveled from out of State to this event. I purchased 2 front row seats for the Nov 29, 2025 Soul Fest so my view wouldn't be obstructed. People from the back rows were allowed to crowd around the stage, making the show unwatchable for us. We spoke to Security about it several times but they weren't willing to help. Our tickets were almost $500. A waste of money. I will not attend any events at this Venue, nor would I recommend anyone else attends. If you choose to attend, do not purchase floor seats. Instead purchase cheaper seats and simply stand in front of the stage for a bird's eye view. read more

Went to the civic center in Columbus to see Disney in ice. Everyone that worked there was really nice and very helpful. Security wasn't a pain and the bathrooms a fairly clean. There is also a family bathroom. Savannah's civic center is in a nicer location but I would rather visit the Columbus civic center instead. read more

This is an older arena in dire need of renovations. The locker room has been repainted but everything else needs a bit of work. The carpet in the hallways and locker rooms have a wet moldy stench. The locker room bathrooms are falling apart. The toilets leak and one of the sinks doesn't work properly. The event staff was decently friendly and helpful when needed. There isn't a huge selection of food at the concession stand. If you have a food allergy you're going to be out of luck. There's little to no options for you. read more

I went to the civic center for the first time yesterday To see the 85 south show. My seat was in section 106 and before the show can even get started my seat broke. I'm 6 month pregnant only weight 150lbs and all I was doing was sitting in the seat when it broke. I got the attention of the lady who was showing people where their seats were, told her what happen and this lady just said "well you broke it" then laughed and walked away. There was an empty seat next to me that I sat in instead and was nervous that someone would come and ask for their seat but no one did. I couldn't truly enjoy the show as much as I wanted because I was afraid the next seat would break from under me as well. I came to the Columbus Civic Center for a concert from Atlanta for the New Edition: The Culture Tour. Never again. My husband and I are concert goers. This was the worst concert venue I have ever been to. Here are the issues we experienced: 1. The traffic getting into the arena. It is very bottled neck with one main way used to go into the arena to access parking. A few of us found a side street that ended merging into the main entrance. No police assistance with traffic. 2. One person .... Yes, you heard me one person collecting money for parking. 3. Then once you get to the gate area, there are hundreds of people everywhere waiting to get in. By this time we are about 30 minutes late for the show. The show started late but we still missed part of Jodeci's performance. They did not have enough lines open or enough people checking handbags. 4. I read other reviews stating they were supposed to open the doors at 7:00 but they did not open the doors on time causing several people to gather outside. Which helps to cause the back up and create problems. 5. However, out of everything that happened that night here is what disturbed me the most. I have 2 medical conditions and on medication. I sometimes get overheated easily and feel light headed or even pass out. I told my husband, it is hot in here so during intermission I need to get some water. We had floor seats and right outside the doors was a concession stand looking area selling drinks. We had no idea "it was only a bar" (that is what the attendant told us later). We get in line along with some friends. They had only 2 lines and one person assisting for each line. When we got up there, I ordered 2 Bud light beers for my husband. I asked for bottled water. She says, "ma'am we don't sell water here." I say well I will take a coke or something. She tells me, "We don't sell that here either." I tell her I have a medical condition and I am overheating. I said, I need something, she said you can go upstairs. By now Charlie Wilson is starting and I already missed part of Jodeci. I have already waited in that line for about 30 minutes. I said I don't want to wait in another line. Let me order a drink so that I can have something cold. She says you already bought 2 drinks (that is the purchase maximum). My friends tell me to call my husband to come out of the concert to stand in for me to make a purchase for me. Even though I had the $7 in hand for a beer. All she had to do was turn around and pick up the beer to give to me. By this time, I admit I am losing my cool because this is ridiculous to me. You don't give the people on the floor access to water, Ice, or anything even if they say they are experiencing issues. This is a coachable moment for staff. Everything is not black and white. Think outside of the box. Have empathy and concern for people in general. What I would like to see happen is that this venue starts selling water on the main level and/or if someone approaches with a medical issue/concern, the staff has enough empathy and concern to provide ice if someone is overheating in the hot arena. There were people walking up and down the aisles selling plastic microphones that you could wear around your neck that glow in the dark, but not one person came down the aisle selling water or drinks. I shared my concern with the finance manager the night of the concert. She did say she would pass this information to the manager for the area. I sure hope so. Do better Columbus Civic Center. In town for an event. First time in Columbus. Stadium not to large just right for getting around.

I was very disappointed in my first experience at the CCC. The employees seemed inept, apathetic, or perhaps both. The will call line was insanely slow and it took the employees far too long to find people's tickets. When they finally did they were not scanning and half the people would come back for them to 'fix' the tickets. I've been to many shows from small towns to Atlanta and Nashville and we arrived in plenty of time to be able to pick up our tickets and get to our seats, but we ended up missing the entire opening act, who we were excited to see. When we were trying to find our seats the only usher around pushed past us to show someone else theirs and was not courteous about it. Not everyone was bad though, we did have good experience with the security staff and the facility itself was very nice. The food service and bathroom lines were ridiculously long as well and seemed to be suffering from the same employee problems.. read more

I always have a good time at the civic center no matter what I am doing there. the staff is always friendly and efficient!

I come from a big city with over 5 stadiums/arenas, and was not expecting much coming here. I was pleasantly surprised though. I think this place is nice being in such a small city. I wish they could bring some better acts in, but I can not wait for them to bring back hockey. read more

The Columbus Civic Center has made a continuous down hill spiral. From the lack of friendliness of the staff to the long lines for tickets, getting into the arena and getting concessions. Most of the sinks in the bathrooms do not work. But what should be the greatest concern for the citizens of Columbus and the management of this city is the lack of shows and entertainment that this beautiful 10,000 seat venue can attract. Is this a direct reflection on the staff or is it that the civic center management does not go after any type of shows. read more

Went to Disney on a Ice and it was a good experience. However the reason for only 2 stars is that they have the audacity to charge $5 for parking after you're already paying a ton for the actual tickets to whatever you're seeing. This is not Atlanta, we don't get big entertainment and we don't have an issue with the number of parking spaces and a high demand. This is just another way to scam people out of money. It is absolutely despicable of them. Also, the bottles of coke inside at the concession stand are $2 for a regular bottle - FORREAL?! They do have security now at the front before you walk in so they check purses/bags, and they check you with the handheld metal detectors - good addition after all the misfortune events around the country. The inside could use some remodeling as the seats aren't the most comfortable but it does the job. Mainly I'm just fired up about this paying for parking crap they started. They are making a FORTUNE off of that. read more

The civic center has saved the people of Columbus from dying of boredom. Food prices are a bit steep for my taste but there always seems to some concert, comedy show, something to go too. The usher guys are so helpful with getting people out of your seats too. An example of the the food prices... A chick fil a classic sandwich is about $3 at the restaraunt but inside the civic center it's $6. Convince fee, I guess. read more

I give the Columbus civic center a -1 because the monster truck show cost 115$!!! It was soooo lame and not worth the money! They went over two ramps the entire time and played with remote control cars. My son could have given me a better show. This was awful and not worth the money. Hope they never have this event again for people to waste their money on. read more

This venue was horrible. I have never attended a concert at such a poorly ran location in my life. Doors open and there is only one entry point where a few different lines were formed causing long lines and jammed parking lots due to ppl waiting. Finally get in the civic center and almost every single bar and food outlet only takes cash, not to mention not enough bars for all the attendees. This caused more long lines. Now the 'BARS'....$8.00 for a single liquor drink, that's fine (I expect to pay more at a concert venue) but not for a half ounce drink! The bartenders were using jiggers to pour drinks (understandably- they need to consistently measure) but they were using a half ounce pour for single drinks and a 1 ounce pour for doubles. Having bartended and managed restaurants- this is very incorrect and a total rip off. The first performer (out of two total performers) started right when doors opened at 7. What kind of sense does this make? The venue had lines backed up and the first performer started before everyone could get to their seats! When attendees are paying a lot of money for tickets the venue should give people ample amount of time to get in, get a drink, and find their seats. Totally ridiculous. Lastly, which didn't affect my group personally- large tvs were put up and seats were sold behind the tvs. I would have been irate if I had tickets behind a tv causing me not to enjoy the concert. It's a nice facility, but you'd think that since a large part of their revenue comes from concession sales, they'd be better equipped to take credit and debt cards. The last 3 times I have been there, they did not have access to electronic card swipe readers, only paper credit card tickets, and not enough to last more than an hour or so into an event. They said they didn't have phone lines, but Chik-Fil-A and Brusters Ice Cream had them. Of course it's run by the government, and there is no incentive to be anything more than another mediocre government run facility. Too bad. read more

Very disappointed in most recent visits to hockey and football games. On both occasions the vendors ran out of cotton candy, ice cream and candy of any sort by or before halftime. Who is running this place? Nothing worse than having disappointed kids to ruin what should be a fun evening. Instead parents become the heavy because we make them eat dinner first then have a treat instead of the other way around. Thanks for that thought in my kids head about us parents. read more
