Additionally, there are endless options for fun stuff to do in the area in Marysville, Kimberley, and Cranbrook. The staff are SUPERB here!!! Friendly, helpful, diligent, responsive. Of all the campgrounds we've been to in Alberta and BC, this has been our favourite.

Apparently this system is unforgiving when it comes to payment as you are required to pay in full at the time of booking whether it is a week or a year prior to your stay. This campground fills up a year in advance and you are encouraged to book as such. Because of this we will not be back. The customer service leaves a lot to be desired as most of them don't seem happy to be here. The upkeep on the campsite is lacking as well. The bathrooms aren't checked, hence no toilet paper several days. Overall it is just going downhill.

She made sure we were completely comfortable and had everything we need. She was very clear and concise on the rules which I appreciated. The entire house was very well out together. Super clean and roomy as well. I appreciated how well the walls blocked out sounds from the other rooms. I wouldn't have even known anyone was there if I hadn't seen them. Bed was comfortable, got enough pillows, and I slept like a baby! I had a wonderful time exploring their property. The St Mary River literally runs right though their backyard. It's one of the most gorgeous backyards I've ever seen. I didn't see much wildlife, but I would bet it's an awesome spot for viewing if you have binoculars. Now the best part of a B&B: Morning came and there was a fresh pot of coffee ready and in the fridge, a delicious breakfast. Homemade spinach quiche with turkey sausage, scone and berries with yogurt. It was delicious! Overall I had a fantastic experience at St Mary's River B&B and I will definitely be reconsider staying here on my next road trip through BC.

The rooms are dated and from the late 90s/2000s, which in itself isn't terrible. However the magnet door cards that can't hold the door unlock info are not. We went through 7 cards on our three night stay. Also the hotel doesn't not offer or let you know about having your room made up. With multiple people staying in a suit at the very least you think they would drop off towels and coffee, this is not the case. Even if you request to have your room made up they will not do it. If you want towels, toilet paper or coffee , get it yourself with the attitude to match. Pool is small and only one of the hot tubs was working. AC needs a cleaning as we all left with a cough and stuffy noses that went away when we were out of the room. Upon check out the staff cannot even be bothered to ask how was your stay, it's like they already know.

We had a 1 bedroom unit and it was nice but very basic. We found the bed to be very uncomfortable and it was difficult to get a good night's sleep. I couldn't understand why they were concerned about the weather during the discussion, but I wanted to check it out anyway. I let Google Maps navigate us there and it brought us to a house on Spokane St. There were quite a few cars parked along the road, so I assumed we were in the right place. Seriously, if it wasn't for the cars, I might have thought Google Maps was taking us for a ride. You walk up to the house and look right for the passage to the back. Down some stairs and you open into a beautiful garden. I'm not going to say much more - you have to experience it yourself. But yes, it's pretty much completely outdoors, so your experience will depend on the weather. I asked for a menu and it was explained to me that they only offer one pairing of food daily, a soup and a sandwich or just the sandwich. This day's offering was ham and brie on a Swiss bun and potato and leek soup. This is all made on premises by the cook, Roland. I met Roland and Nina after we ate. Such a pleasant couple. The weather cooperated. Lunch was great. You know the food is good when you catch all the staff grabbing a bite here and there between visits to tables. The ambiance was super relaxing.
