Quiet neighborhood except the loud noise of the train passing by but you'll get used to it. Loving it here! Can't complain anything.

Be honest Jon as you are NOT a tenant but one of the owners along with Lawrence…read more This place was a lil better when I lived there and Dan was the onsite Manager. He could do absolutely anything repair wise.Hes gone. Now all the lil jobs get contracted out to what looks like illegals. Figures as he's from Cali where they like to take advantage and pay lower wages to the undocumented so they can provide sub standard work while not giving the work to americas. Another red flag this place isn't worth it again! Now there is zero onsite manager from what I've been told.(still have a few friends there) Also they remove the fridge before you move in so you have to bring your own! All awhile continuously raising rents. Ironically everytime a new apt building gets built in the vicinity he jacks up rents because he seems to think that a run down complex somehow competes with amenities that new apartments provide such as, ALL new appliances and carpets fully supplied.New paint, playgrounds, pools, community centers, park areas,etc.. At Barclay you can walk around the property and see cracks in the building foundation where they just painted ugly lima green over(paints decades old) Meanwhile they run Western Rooter in Cali running around to steak houses and buying fancy Lexus's cars, going on vacations and taking their pups to doggy spas while the rest of the commoners are getting priced out of their homes due to the constant raising of rents. You pay attention to how much you can sqeeze out of people yet turn your eye from the fact that electric went up %17 with another %7 coming(total 39.87% last 5 years) Food and gas are out of control.Yet YOUR feeling the need for more and more? You think higher rates sort out the rift raft when you could be reasonable with rent and do credit and background checks to keep the crazies away. I get it. You live in Cali where everything is more expensive and when the cost of your sports cars and spas goes up you just squeeze your renters more and more. I called a few weeks ago thinking maybe just maybe I'd move back as my partner died and I can't stay here. But after hearing they have the NERVE to ask $1650 for those apartments I don't think so(when I was there it was 1100). how can you justify raising rents that much without changing anything? But hey he can so he will. All greed with no improvements or even a Fridge! The icing on this is the consistent Port-O-Potty that is always parked out front.I feel for the people still there that get to smell that everyday all day

I lived there with him for a year and I brought my dog to live there. We moved out at the end of January. Management is a joke there, they charged my husband for "carpet replacement " due to urine damage (my dog never peed inside) she's trained and we always walked her. I called because charges he got were insane for "replacements" that I had proof of were not needed. We took pictures of everything when we moved out. They NEVER returned our call and only refunded $130 of his initial deposit. If you rent here make sure you take pictures and try to dispute charges because they will want to "charge" every penny of your deposit.

This should probably be a 3 1/2 star review. I'll explain why it's not later on down the line…read more 1st, the pros: I moved in just after the place was completed & everything was new (ended up living there for 4 yrs). Having in-house laundry machines is always a plus. There's also a spa right outside the leasing office & an exercise room inside it. There are also bonus spaces for storage if you need it, free & paid for, something my current apt bldg doesn't have. Staff there are great; Jessica, the ofc manager, was always there for me when I needed it & the maintenance crew is top notch. The cons: the parking lot surrounds all the buildings which makes for quite a racket either by the vehicles or the people in them. That exercise room is only open during leasing ofc hours. There's no security cameras, so the place has become a theft magnet, even w/ the "security presence" in the form of a police-like car that no 1 occupies [granted the presence of cameras won't stop every1 but it would've been nice to show some footage of the guy who made off w/ my bicycle]. The SUPER con: I got tagged for some bogus damage charges that resulted in me not only being denied my deposit but forced to pay hundreds of $ for things I didn't do. VERY AGGRAVATING, INFURIATING & FRUSTRATING!!!!!!!!! Hence my 1-star review. The place is pretty good but Wonder Dog Mgmt is a rip off org.

Having the pond nearby was a plus and we were within a 25min driving to almost everywhere in Portland. We were a bit concerned how parking 2 vehicles would work since the apartment only comes with 1 spot, but we never had any issues getting a spot in the front lot! We had a top floor apartment and didn't have issues with noisy neighbors. Overall, we would recommend this apartment to anyone!

But if you are someone who likes more privacy in an apartment, than I wouldn't suggest these. You can literally hear everything your neighbor is saying or doing. Whether it's next door, downstairs, or upstairs. We live in a 3rd floor 2bed/2ba.. I know apartment living comes with noise, but it should never be this much.. and at the price point. I like quiet, but I also like to function regular in my place without being a disturbance to neighbors.. regular things like having a convo on the phone, sex, using the restroom, arguments, can all be heard as if the people are in your apartment.. parking is also a bit of an issue too...and things break with no real help... Finally things were fixed in the apt. But in general, you can hear your neighbors cough! You can hear whole convos about private info. So in response to Lake Salish, it's no one specific, it's that the walls and floors aren't sound proof, not even a little bit. Paper thin... you can hear everything. No matter which apt you Are in. :)

It is like your boyfriend/girlfriend, the inside matters a lot more than the outside! You will regret if you ignore the advice. The walls are extremely thin. You will hear people have sex, snore, fart, talk, yell, take shower, watch TV, walking ... Many low life not working live here. They watch TV or turn on the stereo all day. You will enjoy the noise. Many of them are very unfriendly. If you dare to complain, it is your fault because they have right to do anything they like in their own apartment (they claim). If you are one of them, welcome home. Manager is not in the office most of time even we pay the hours they are not in the office! They choose the hours they feel like to work. This is "Deep Blue State" and we know the Democrats need them for voting only. They clean the complex hallways early in the morning with a loud vacuum. The toilet gets stuck all the time. It will "overthrow". Be prepare to pick up ... One of the doors of the building is broken and can't close properly. The manager asked people not to leave the door open. What a joke!

I lived here for less than a year in 2021 to now 2022. From the beginning, communication was short,…read moreand they never really seemed up front about anything. I never even met the manager until the 6 month inspection, and I didn't get to tour before I moved in because they flipped it from the last person moving out pretty much immediately. The walls and doors were dripping with orange liquid, the cabinets weren't skrewed on all the way and fell and hit me, mold grew like crazy now matter how much they came in and scrubbed it (which if mold is appearing, scrubbing won't make it go away) the floors were sinking in and would rock, the walls and floors were paper thin I could hear entire conversations my neighbors had. The neck was rotting and loose, slippery from moss and it felt like it was going to break. The windows and front door didn't close all the way, I asked maintenance to come in and look at everything several times they said there's nothing they could do until they fired the guy who was there when I moved in for somebody who doesn't speak English very well. My smoke alarm didn't work the entire time I lived there, my clothes and shower curtain got ruined from the mold, the water never worked and the fridge stopped working altogether several times. The amount of fights I had to put up with in this neighborhood along with rude neighbors who would get management to give me a warning about leaving a trash bag outside my door for a couple minutes because I had to gather all my trash up to take out, yet we couldn't reach management once about any of our problems. They give special treatment to those who pay and as soon as they got their money, they're gone. Every single time I call it goes straight to voicemail but the manager is always in the office with sometimes two men at a time. All the lights are on and the blinds are closed. Very unprofessional and uninviting. I saw three different receptionists then none by the time I moved out and mind you, there's only two rooms, one for manager and one for receptionist so they wouldn't have needed three receptionists unless they were firing the old ones and replacing. (Or they quit which is what I assume) I signed something to break my lease a couple months early because I just had to get out. The mold was so toxic in the air and me, my cats, and my boyfriend were struggling to breathe. To add insult to injury, they offered me a "renewing the lease deal" where they would charge me $100 more monthly on top of the already outrageous price they were charging for that run down borderline condemned building that nobody should be living in. I considered hiring a health inspector to come in and assess things because it got so scary, the only reason I didn't is because I'm poor. Because that's what places like this exist for, poor people who have nowhere else to go and a young person like me who doesn't know any better would get locked in and trapped. Rent was 90% of my monthly income alone. I'm so very lucky to have gotten out and I now live in a place that cares about my well-being and my families health has improved greatly. I know you're looking at this place because your poor, but please consider somewhere else.

This place needs to be cleaned more. Staff is cool but it's dirty and should be taken better care…read moreof.
