The transfer was anything but smooth. COnfusion in prescriptions and the number of refills left drove me crazy. Getting refills is a whole different problem. It's taken 5 days in some cases to get a script filled. Sometimes they call and let you know it's ready and other times they don't, you have to follow up. I've dealt with several other pharmacies they all have their quirks, but Sussex has to be the worst one I have ever dealt with in my life. If you have a choice of pharmacies it's advisable to avoid this one.

This review is about the store in Edgewater Maryland. I waited three days to write this review,…read morebut after discussing it with my daughter I decided that it was important to share my experience while shopping at the Edgewater location. First, despite my experience I spent $70 because I wanted the product, but not sure that I will return. When I entered the clerk was on the phone and continued on the phone while I shopped. When I was finished and standing at the counter ready to check out she remained on the phone. I found this to be totally disrespectful, so I said that I would return later. She then told the person on the phone that she had to go because she had a customer. She said that was the owner and it is hard to get in touch with her. I said that I am sure that the owner would not like you to miss a sale. As she was answering my questions a delivery person walked in and again she dismisses me to speak and hug the delivery man who was delivering honey. I felt totally dismissed and not valued. I end by saying that I am a 70 y/o, African American female. I did not look homeless or dirty. So, African Americans beware when shopping at the Edgewater location.

We had a very positive experience overall with Bayhealth Emergency Room. The staff--from…read moreregistration to the nurses and doctor--were friendly, professional, and attentive during our visit for an allergic reaction. We truly appreciated the level of care and compassion shown. However, there was an issue afterward that needs improvement. When we went to CVS to pick up the prescribed medication, it wasn't there. After looking into it, we found the prescription had been mistakenly sent to Express Scripts (my long-term mail-order pharmacy) instead of the local CVS. Mistakes happen, and that part was understandable. The frustrating part was the process to fix it. When I called Bayhealth, I was told the correction had to be reviewed by a doctor, even though the prescription had already been approved--just sent to the wrong place. We were sitting in CVS waiting for the medication, running on very little sleep due to our daughter's condition, which made the delay even more difficult. We waited for about 45 minutes with no resolution. When I called back, I was told the doctor was with another serious patient and we would have to wait longer. The concern is not the mistake itself, but the lack of an efficient process to quickly correct something like this. Situations like this directly impact the patient, especially when medication is needed promptly. There should be a faster, more streamlined way to resend a prescription to the correct pharmacy without unnecessary delays. Again, the care we received in person was excellent--but improving this process would make a big difference in the overall patient experience.

I had to bring my daughter in during a vacation trip nearby because she wasn't feeling well. The…read moremedical staff were fantastic: they were sweet, patient, gentle, and very thorough. They also reliably followed-up with the result of tests done. The registration by phone was also simple enough. The one part that was fine but maybe not 100% was the initial reception. For one, not long before we got there, I called ahead and was told the wait time was at least 40 minutes. I get there 20 minutes later and the waiting room is completely empty, which is a good thing but I don't know why they made it seem like they were busy. I parked right in front at a designated spot and text the number on the sign. I completed the registration by phone. But when I went inside I got a cold reception. I said we were there for my daughter's appointment and then got softly reprimanded for having checked into the wrong Atracare location. Except I followed the instructions right on the sign at the designated parking space, so if that went to another location that's Atracare's doing. It's never ideal when you're walking in with a sick kiddo and getting a cold, scoldy reception. Fortunately things picked up from there. I'm not local to any Atracare but I would go back if I needed medical care in the area. I was really happy with the medical staff, the electronic registration procedures, the wait time, and the cleanliness of the clinical area.
