I can not recommend Viktorya enough. I have said after my birth with my first child I would never…read morenot have a doula by my side and with my 4th I stand true to that statement. I am a very vocal person about my wants and needs and my labors are no different however with this being a new hospital and with covid still a thing at the time of my sons birth I knew I was going to need someone with as much fire as I had to match and keep things on track. No matter the amount of planning as in all births things didn't go as planned however we all regrouped and made it work. I had planned on laboring as long as I could at home, however baby had other plans and I was in full HELLP syndrome and had to be induced. Let me tell you liver pain is way worse than any labor I have ever had. This change came with way more interventions than we were wanting and also came with a lot more nursing staff than expected. If there is anything you can do for yourself is stand up for yourself. Viktorya and I had spoken many times before that I had issues with people talking over me or "gas lighting" me, I really don't know why nurses or doctors think that this is okay. I ended up having a nurse that was gas lighting and as I was in transitioning she was informing the anesthesiologist I wasn't really in labor and needed an epidural because the doctor wanted me to have one ( that's another story for a different day). In this moment I looked to my husband then to Viktorya and the look on her face and the fire I was already fighting back had me whip around in a contraction and inform her that I will not be gas lit now or any other time she could ether get on the same page and work with us or she could leave.. she had some words but left. Less than 20 minutes later I had a baby with a very exciting entrance with out that epidural might I add. her after services was a nice change and the amount texts she received from me I should have paid her way more for. I honestly feel like I have made a friend with Viktorya and will be needing her in the future and can not image a better person or doula to have by my side.

Sarah was an absolute asset to my birth experience. This pregnancy was as a surrogate, which…read morerequired me to give birth in a hospital, so I knew I needed a coach and an advocate. My first and only other birth of my daughter, was attended by 2 midwives at home and was the best day of my life. So, I hired Sarah and Charli for their doula services and was comfortable with either attending, just happy I knew them and they understood me and my birth plan. Sarah showed up at our house right when the contractions kicked in. She guided me through them and made the call when it was time to walk to Providence Hospital. Along with my husband riding our cargo bucket bike and 9-year old daughter walking with me, we walked the 1/2 mile to the hospital, stopping every minute or two for me to lean against her and have a contraction. She provided me with shelter and guidance. When we got to the hospital, I was taken up to the birth center and learned I was 5 cm dilated and felt a sense of accomplishment. The final 5 occurred over 3 hours between the tub and the yoga ball in the bathroom. Sarah was my crutch during the hardest ones. My family doctor, who knew my birth plan well, showed up and they, along with the nurses, worked together to let me know it was time to get on the bed and push. I squatted in reverse on the bed, holding tight to the railings. With every push, I could feel baby Penelope make her way through the birth canal, with intense pressure. I asked Sarah to guide me through the ring of fire so I wouldn't tear. We took it slow, allowing the head to crown, stop, head halfway out and back in, stop, head out, stop, shoulder out, stop, arm out, stop and then her body fell gracefully to the bed between my legs. I scooped her up, the nurses helped me untangle from the cord so I could turn around and sit with her. They toweled Penelope off, I scooted over and her new mama came over crying and sat next to me and I got to hand over the most beautiful thing in the world to the person who had wanted her most. I looked up at the room and everyone was smiling and taking in the moment, including Sarah. This was the most magical day of my life. I can't recommend her and Charli enough. Having a doula or midwife is a serious luxury in giving birth and I also attribute my fast recovery (casually walking and biking within a week) to them. I needed no epidural, emergency treatments or stitches.

I had the honor of documenting their work as midwives, their gentle touch, their commitment to asking for consent every time they have to check the heartbeat, their quick thinking in moments of uncertainty, their competency and their overall gentle nature and amazing personalities. It's important to consider all of these things when inviting somebody into your birth space and especially when choosing a provider to help you bring your baby earthside. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anybody considering a homebirth. And I can't wait to work with them again!

Her knowledge depth in the physiologic space was so impressive - despite being our second baby, we learned a lot from Camille. Her prenatal process is very thorough and thoughtful. We were particularly impressed with her focus on patient advocacy through education, birth plans, and her explanation of how she would stand up for our intentions had we needed a hospital transfer. Day of, my labor was quick an easy and Camille held space, let us be, and took a beautiful video as we had requested. We also used her sibling doula, Emma, for our 2.5 year old daughter. She was incredibly talented at capturing our toddlers attention, super patient and sweet. We would have her care for our babies ANY time! The sibling doula service and support Camille offered took all of the stress of managing childcare during homebirth off of my husband. We also used Camille for postpartum care and she was so gentle and thoughtful. Small touches like beautifully made plates of food, flowers (she grew!), tinctures, and bone broth made me as a postpartum mom feel so comforted and cared for. I would highly recommend Camille, we loved working with her, and are so appreciative of how much she cares for her work and the families she supports!
