Dancers whose parents were heavily involved were prioritized over talent or effort. In one routine, I had less than an eight-count of actual dance but still paid full costume and competition fees. When my mother raised concerns, Nancy (owner at the time) brushed her off and said I "needed to be a team player." Competitions were also mishandled -- rehearsal hours were underreported to place dancers in lower divisions for a competitive advantage. After posting my Google review, Planet Dance dismissed it as "misinformation." I emailed the studio asking what was inaccurate and received no reply. I've attached that email and video clips showing Meghan harshly criticizing dancers and enforcing excessive conditioning -- this was a regular, belittling environment. To the owners: refusing to acknowledge concerns doesn't erase what happened. Planet Dance wasn't just a studio -- it was a huge part of my childhood. Trauma doesn't have a timeline. I see it every day in my old photos and memories. Nobody can tell me how to feel or when to stop speaking on it. If you think I'll stay quiet, you're wrong. I have every right to tell my story.

There were some old and new students in the class, they were all really nice. During the class Maria explained everything as she went along, we did have a few water breaks in between. I really learned quite abit for my first time, education is very important when embarking on a new fitness journey. The class I took was the Bellydance Movement. I actually left feeling energized and refreshed from a 1hr class! I will be purchasing a class pass, you save a little more with this option. Im so glad I tried it, and Yes I will be taking classes at least once a week! She also teaches Bellydance at the University Of South Carolina. This gym was previously on Broad River rd., and has been open on Main st. a little over 2 months…read morenow. The staffed hours are M-F 8am-7pm (if you're wanting to join/inquire about memberships). It is one of the better 24hr gyms I've been to... it has free weights (including kettle bells), machines, multiple squat bars, TRX bands, and even a crossfit rack downstairs, and all of the standard cardio equipment (as well as punching bags and even the JACOB's LADDER) upstairs. It has a loft style feel to it. There is one shower in both the male and female bathrooms for those wanting to workout before work or during a lunch break. There are 4 TVs upstairs but cable has not been installed yet (they're working on that). The peak hours are usually M-F 4:30-8pm. I think it's a great little addition to the booming main st!

Being able to come here for my workouts is a breathe of fresh air when compared. Weights are always put back and everyone cleans up after themselves! I am so amazed each time I come here with how tidy everything is. The price is great only $20 a month and you can come anytime, literally! The cardio is upstairs and offers treadmills, ellipticals, bikes, rowing machines, and even a mountain climbing machine! There are punching bags upstairs as well. TVs are upstairs and music plays throughout the gym. Downstairs there is a free weight area, TRX area, and machine area. Literally everything you could need! Weights belts, boxes, and all the attachments for the wire! Love this place and so happy we found it!
