I was unable to attend the shoot, but provided John with a shot list of images I was looking for and he over delivered on every single one! He gave me multiple options of several different scenarios and I was able to use the images that best fit my needs. We really appreciated her style of photography - deep rich colors and focus on the couple. Other photographers seemed to have a lot of strange angles and washed out colors, which we were trying to avoid. Hiring Maria was a breeze. She is responsive by email and always happy to jump on a call when needed. Part of her package included engagement photos, which were extremely helpful when putting together our save the dates and website. She is intuitive, yet also did a good job of asking us for our preferences to confirm. The wedding day was also a breeze, and Maria documented all of our key moments without being intrusive at all. Maria's turnaround times are excellent, and she was never late with delivering sneak peeks or the digital albums. Finally, we also worked with Maria on the final physical photo album. She was very flexible and allowed us to have multiple rounds of revisions. She was very accommodating even when we wanted to swap out many photos for more preferred variations. After an incredibly generous offer on a 6 hour wedding package & engagement photo session, we booked our dream photographer. One of the best decisions ever! I could go on and on about how promptly Alyssa responded to emails/ calls, or her professional online invoicing system, or how easy it was to schedule our engagement session, but I'd rather focus on the emotional aspect of Alyssa's work. Some background -- my husband and I have been together for 11 years, we have an endless supply of inside jokes, and we love living in Philadelphia. Alyssa has an artistic eye, an amazing ability to work with light, and a familiarity with the city we call home. Our City Hall/ Dilworth Park engagement session with Alyssa was so fun! She kept things loose and light. Her hand gestures and silent communication while shooting kept us laughing and led to beautiful, natural photos. Alyssa has a great personality, on top of her amazing photography skills. Almost everyone said they barely noticed her there, and yet she captured so many moments I don't think any other photographer would have been able to get. And she does it solo!!! No annoying crew but she's a million times better than even an entourage would have been. She directed us enough to get flattering and gorgeous shots, but also also managed to get candids that were just as spectacular. And her directions weren't annoying or too particular, just easy pointers or suggestions, so all the photos are genuine and true to your own personality. Highly recommend!!!
