Came here after a lil trek of Colorado National Monunment and let me just cut to the chase. These…read moretacos are total BANGERS oh my goodness I devoured them instantly and I'd do it again. They got all types of meats so your classic asada, adobada and carinitas all the way to your tripes, cheek, and seafood. So defintely I would order a good selection of tacos of whatever your heart desires, so like I'd say if youre just regular hungry I think 2-3 will do you fine but if you a real foodie I mean load that puppy up with 5-6 tacos you'll be fine trust. Besides the quality and flavor and meat which is the most important, I really want to bring attention to two things. Firstly the garnishes, I LOVE that they loaded up each tacos with a healthy amount of onions and cilantro. I LIVE FOR THAT. Also each taco comes with two little tortillas so its like your got your main tortilla, and a lil insurance shell to make sure you hold your lil hefty bois. Secondly, the sauces. Red and verde are the classic and personally big verde guy here but dude the pineapple habanero sauce?!? goodness gracious in all things that are amazing, that was the ONE. I straight up used like a quarter of the bottle I felt. Look it could be a mix of how hungry I was after the trek and the pineapple habanero blowin my socks off, but this was defintely an amazing lil taco experience and bet if Im back in town Im stopping by.

Cheese is freshly shredded which is so great because I can taste the anti caking agents of the cheaper burritos in town. They have 3 sizes. The LiL Richard is a 1/4 lb burrito stuffed as humanly possible. They dont use large tortillas so youre not consuming unnecessary carbs or thick tortilla skins. The NSA a 1/2 lb burrito which again - stuffed as humanly possible. The BiG Richard is over 1 LB for less than $20. All of the burritos can have 2 proteins and your choice of cheeses :) All made fresh to order with organic meats, eggs and cheese, so it may cost a bit more than your pre rolled burritos down the street with questionable greasy meats. I love the BiG Richard !

The order is the Brisket Sandwich!…read more My husband (a born and raised Texan) was craving BBQ on our way home from Moab. After a quick Yelp search, I found Smokey Bonez BBQ food truck. After a quick visit to their Instagram, I found their location. Next thing you know, two croc wearing travelers are walking into a Cattle Auction! The truck was easy to spot: bright orange! They had a menu of classic items, although a local told us they change it up. My eyes went for the Burnt Ends, while my husband ordered the Brisket Sandwich. I hate to say there was a winner of the two, but there was. The Brisket Sandwich was piled high with the perfect combination of lean and fatty brisket. It just melted in your mouth! There may have been a battle over who got the last bite haha. :D Luckily, we got the same side of Potato Salad. Although, I should have challenged my husband for the last bite of his, as well. It was absolutely delicious! Beyond the great BBQ, the owner of the truck and his family were ultra friendly and kind. It made us feel like we were back in TX for a moment. Everything you want in a BBQ experience. If you ever randomly spot the bright orange Smokey Bonez BBQ truck, GO!

You will never eat brisket this good. Not only is there a well defined smoke ring - a real hallmark…read moreof great barbeque - it is still tender and juicy. I rarely order brisket, fearing choking on dry meat. But - this is a whole different thing. The flavor is there and it is fine by the slice or on a sandwich. The Santa Maria tri-tip is also tender and juicy and tastes so beefy. This feels like eating a steak. I never expected to like turkey legs - but I do love these. Good smoke flavor. It need no sauce (though if you are going to use sauce - try the wasabi!). This is a great food when you don't have a table or want to use a fork. The chicken thighs are also good, though I do take off the skin - it isn't crisp and I don't actually like poultry skin even if it is crisp. Ribs are also fall-off-the-bone tender and gently sweet and tangy from th glaze. I love the coleslaw here - it isn't too thinly cut so it stays crisp. This is in a lightly creamy sauce and is just the type of slaw that makes pulled pork sing! Tamales are really nice - filled with plenty of meat. These have just the right amount of masa. They aren't always available, so get them when you see them!
