Unfortunately, after seeking help from numerous doctors and exploring various avenues for pain management, this was my final attempt at finding relief. Dr. Jan Gillespie-Wagner and Darci Rossitier were Dismissive and Uncaring. During my appointment, the doctors I encountered displayed a hostile and aggressive demeanor. They failed to consider the impact of my chronic pain on my daily life. Furthermore, they seemed quick to dismiss my concerns and stereotype me as a patient, rather than listening to my specific experiences. They were apathetic towards atypical pain. The most concerning aspect was their lack of understanding or apparent disregard for my non-typical pain condition. Instead of offering help, they were dismissive and pushed me away as a patient. A Broken System: It's disheartening to realize how many people suffer at the hands of these medical professionals who are supposed to help. This experience is just one more example of how the current system fails patients with non-standard conditions. DO NOT GO HERE. They will stereotype you from the start and then don't listen to your situation.

Dr. G and her staff always listen to me and treat me with care and respect. At one point I moved farther away from her clinic and tried a different pain doctor. It was horrible!!! I had a very poor experience. I was given Cymbalta without appropriate screening or advisement…read more Cymbalta appears to have a history of this: https://www.schmidtlaw.com/cymbalta-suicide-lawsuit/ They deliberately left me in continued severe pain, and in severe antidepressant discontinuation syndrome that their negligence caused over the Christmas holiday, which is the worst time for suicide. I am lucky to have lived through it. So the most egregious is failure to even care about a human being. They said they would at least try injections that don't work in hopes I can finally put that bad faith to bed, but he has left me hanging for MONTHS. Bad enough he can't bother to read my paperwork and trust me.when I say the last 3 times did almost nothing and RFA throughout my C-spine did NOTHING. They also did not respect and in some cases violated other patient rights, as well as failed to follow suggested ethical guidelines. Examples include failing to provide timely treatment, failure to provide continuity of treatment, failing to give me any agency in my treatment, and failing to provide any options. The doctor appeared to me to be ignorant about medication and the neurotransmitters they impact. He flat out told me that Cymbalta and Lyrica is the same thing, which is ignorance or delusion. At the very least he doesn't know the difference between GABA and seratonin / norepinephrine. Falsely claims it's dangerous to take 5 meu with cannabis which IS delusion. He'd clearly prefer to hook people on 60+ MEU oxy, so long as they don't take cannabis, which is as dangerous as prescribing antidepressants and placebos for severe chronic pain. Clearly has ZERO problem hooking people on Cymbalta, which made me WORSE while refusing continuity of successful treatment, without any scientifically or medically valid reason. Continuing an involuntary taper despite CDC advising clearly and directly against such action and without any cause or justification. I would warn against trusting this doctor to respect patient rights and medical ethics or perform due diligence. https://www.ama-assn.org/delivering-care/ethics/patient-rights This "doctor" is engaging in torture. The human rights commission has concluded that witholding pain treatment is cruel and inhumane and amounts to torture. https://www.practicalpainmanagement.com/treatments/pharmacological/opioids/united-nations-says-untreated-pain-inhumane-cruel?page=0,1

I wound up seeing Dr. Tennant via a bunch of confusion, but am glad that I wound up under his care…read more He switched my antidepressant to Cymbalta 30 mg and I'm the most pain free I've been in in a very long time. My cervical spine is a disaster. I have herniations from C4-7, stenosis, osteophytes, pinched nerves and nerve roots, and reversal of normal cervical lordosis. My muscles have stayed tense for years because they try to straighten out my spine. I have been feeling so well that I almost cancelled my appointment for Trigger Point Injections. I kept that appointment though and am feeling even better. Just a minor headache remains. I've had bad reactions to psych meds in the past and actually ruined my life for a bit after taking Paxil. So, I'm very hesitant to try new meds, but am glad that I did. There is genetic testing that can be done to see which medications are either good or bad for us, but they are kinda pricey. I'm back to driving on a more full time basis and am very grateful for this practice. Physicians "practice" medicine and there is often a trial and error period while things get worked out. I refuse to use opiates to treat my pain and am glad that those weren't pushed on me here.

I am a medical director and understand the challenges, however this is unacceptable for a larger healthcare system. I will be looking with my insurance and will travel down to Denver with another provider at this point. Don't get me wrong, they did have 3 appointment cancellations in two weeks, but I am in clinic on that date, so there is my personal aspect leading into failure to schedule as well. Update: Was seen a few weeks ago and they submitted for prior authorization. Get a call today and rescheduled. Frustration is growing for someone who depends on this treatment for quality of life. Guess a call to the patient advocate will be placed. Update: Received a call one hour and thirty minutes prior to appointment. They are not sure if I am coming in at 11 am or 12 pm. I informed them that I was told to be there for 12 but the appointment would show for 11 am. Then I am told the appointment has to be canceled. When requesting another location, I am told management has to approve it along with provider to provider sign off. This is the worst care I have ever received in my lifetime. The processes, communication, and lack of accountability is obtuse. Requested a manager return my call. Just waiting now. 2 days later and still no manager call back or patient advocate return call. Talk about patient neglect and dismissiveness. Negative impact to quality of life and this organization could not care and less. I am a medical director and would never allow this type of negligence to occur in my clinic. Guess a letter to the editor of the local newspaper is warranted. Have went with a local competitor who was way more responsive and have providers and staff that actually care.

This was left untreated, and I was too young to protest. I started having moderate chronic pain after just a few years. This pain turned severe around 2012. After being sent to a chiropractor (psuedoscience) who didn't really help, I finally was referred to a Neurosurgeon. I never spoke to the surgeon to my recollection, just Stobbe, and they were under Banner. He said "90 percent of MRI'S are positive (IGNORING my compression fracture that 90% of the people DON'T have) and sent me to pain management for expensive, largely ineffective injections. I have always done neck exercises and stretching since the accident, and I have tried PT repeatedly. I went through 6 years of nonsense that likely made things worse, as it just let the wear from the mechanical issues from the broken C6 and C7 get worse and worse, and the injections and RFA didn't work at all in the end. I came back in 2021 (age 50 now), the MRI was significantly worse, and was consistent with most of my pain, and I was diagnosed with psoriatic arthritis as well. In fact, I have a large family history of spine issues and arthritis that was completely ignored. Stobbe (who was now UC health) gave me the exact same spiel he gave me in 2015, as if I hadn't already been through "conservative" treatment the last 6 years. He didn't even look at my paperwork. He instead sent me to get carpal tunnel surgery that had no effect other than increasing pillar pain. I have since gotten more opinions and found my whole lower C-spine has major issues. In November, I had ACDF at c4-c7. This has addressed many of my most severe issues, but I am certain that many of these issues were significantly exacerbated by the long delay in treatment and the lack of physical activity due to years of severe chronic pain. I also have developed at least 2 types of inflammatory arthritis (unsurprising when you look at my family history) which have made already severe pain that much worse when flaring.

Not getting a call I showed up for my next session with Matt. He told me he did not want to treat me anymore. I complained about coming there for nothing that day and about other things ,like him setting me up to excercise in the past and then walking away and chit chating with another theraphist. I never raised my voice or used profanity when I told him he treated me in an unprofessional manner. An hour after getting home, I was called by a crisis councilor. Matt had called 911 saying I was a danger to other people and had threatened him. Also my insurance company was billed, even though no services (other than trying to get me in trouble with the law) were rendered that day. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else
