They have very friendly and knowledgable staff. The facilities are amazing. The food is good (good to know as a guest!). They do outtings and events and they have TVs and good places for people to sit. The building is very secure and all precautions are in place. I loved this place and my grandfather was here for 5 years. I would recommend it to anyone facing the hard decision of where to move their loved one.

On my last visit, they were in process of some renovation upgrades to keep everything up to high standards. The staff I've talked to & required assist from have always been very helpful. This facility provides a game room, movie theatre, salon, small library nooks, a fitness room & pub for happy hour. I always see posting for events, outings & various invited performances. I've observed a very nice facility with good help &a lots of activities to keep the residents busy.

She was able to get up and transfer to the bathroom, etc., but the night staff put a diaper on her and told her to urinate in it instead of taking her to the bathroom. This was only the worst thing they did. We told the director of the facility and the nursing staff managers, and it happened two more times before I identified the specific CNA. The staff protected the identity of the bad apple in lieu of solving the problem. My family was fortunately able to move my sister before it happened again. The owners of the facility are making a ton of money and present their story as a caring family business but are another example of corporate greed. DON'T GO THERE!

Her friends she made visit her daily in her apartment because she doe not go down to meals anymore.... I cannot say enough nice things about the staff, environment and culture of this caring community. From the minute you walk into Park Meadows, you are greeted by warm , friendly people at the front desk...As I walk to her apartment, residents are calm, content, very at home. Her nurses are competent, caring, professional and always welcoming as they greet me. Her care has always been above and beyond. I am sure they go way past their job descriptions to bring comfort to the residents....who could ask for more? Our family feels so lucky that we chose Park Meadows and are forever grateful

Our 92 year-old father/grandfather/father-in-law chose Parks Meadow for moving into a senior…read morefacility last Fall (2022). He eventually moved to Parks Meadow in January of 2023; however, it was recommended that he reserve his unit by paying the December 2022 rent. Unfortunately, soon after his move he became ill, hospitalized and passed away in mid-February, 2023. His stay at Park Meadows was only 3 1/2 weeks (late January to mid-February). The family paid March rent as we needed time to remove his belongings from the unit. In all, we paid 4 month's rent for his short stay. Another part of his "singing" up for Park Meadows was a "one time non-refundable" Community Fee - in this case $10,000 listed on page 40 of a 52-page lease agreement. It was explained that the Community Fee would lower his rent over his stay at Park Meadows. The family requested that Park Meadows refund at least part of the Community Fee. as his unit was only used a short time and he did not get a chance to use dining or any other facility amenities. Obviously, the family is very disappointed, and surprised, on the position Park Meadows is taking. Although there is no legal recourse, we find it unethical for Park Meadows to keep all of the "Community Fee" as his residence was so short in time. In speaking to the business officer at the facility, she could only say "it's out of my hands" and "I completely understand". In the end, it feels like a 92 year old man was taken advantage of with a very long and detailed lease agreement and an insensitive corporate entity.

It turns out they were right...she needed memory care and they don't offer that type of housing right now. I contacted Dave Lanter and he put me instantly at ease. CarePatrol does the search for free based on the criteria of your needs and preferences. They are paid by the communities. Dave is an expert in senior care in the Kansas City area on the Kansas side. He's great at follow-up. Went with me on all of the tours and gave me peace of mind that we would find the right place for mom, which we did!

I…read morecan only speak for the rehabilitation side, but I wouldn't be surprised if all the areas had equally poor care. The CNA's we encountered were rough and always in a hurry. Majority had trouble communicating due to language barriers. With the exception of one nurse, the other nurses were also rushed. Majority at this facility lacked any empathy. The doctor's who come in for care, offer the same rushed and rough service. The wait for food, bathroom help, or ANYTHING was on average at least 30 minutes on a good day. We complained, but got lip service and attitude. If you asked the patients, this was not an isolated occurrence. So thankful to not be there anymore and are receiving outstanding care elsewhere.

The management does not enforce training, properly schedule, or assist the staff in doing their jobs properly.
