Drove by and saw the sign out front so I stopped to see what the deal was. Mary answered the door and told me all about her services. She's a fun well educated lady that is fun to visit with. Mary seems really nice, but there is no way I'll return. I went for lymphatic therapy, and I'm glad I hadn't booked a colonic because there's zero way I would've allowed for that procedure in this environment. The pictures on Yelp are beyond inaccurate, the place is cluttered and dirty. It has the vibe that it's used as living quarters/storage unit with piles of receipts and various junk all over the place. After reading so many explosively positive Yelp reviews, I took the plunge and purchased a Groupon for a Colon Hydrotherapy Session. I didn't know exactly what to expect, aside from having a hose contraction suck toxins out through my derrière. Not exactly an ideal afternoon activity, but enough beauty gurus swear by colon-cleansing procedures (and hey, Tyra Banks did a LIVE colonic on her show) that curiosity finally killed the Korbi. Mary, the Colon Rollin' Queen, is welcoming, professional, and an absolute delight. Her overall health assessment is thorough without being overwhelming, and she really takes the time to examine specific components of my lifestyle, which I appreciate since too many professionals don't tend to individual needs. And particularly crucial (this skill is essential for Brazilian waxers as well): Mary is deft at distracting. I was so engaged in her stories and our conversation that I almost forgot about the butt-funnel pushing and pulling water through my insides. Almost. Except for the clear tube that showed all of the random gunk (and yes, fecal matter; I'm not one to poop like a pixie) being flushed out. As repulsed as I felt seeing all the filthy chunks of...well, I hope you're not eating right now...poop particles and random unidentifiable filth---that had been in my body, I felt an even greater sense of relief knowing it was now gone. And I also felt lighter...I was re-weighed after the procedure, and I had lost TWO POUNDS during that single session. Now no one, and I mean NO ONE, can say that I am full of crap. Whether it's your first time (like me!) or you're a colon cognoscenti, Mary knows her stuff; she excels at making the whole colon cleansing process significantly less shitty. read more

This review is overdue. I met Mary, and had my 1st colonic a couple years ago. I completed a series of 3. Life got busy, so I finally made my way back to her today. Mary uses dangerous practices of irrigation and repeatedly refused to stop her dangerous actions at the client's request. What she did in my session, can cause long-term chronic conditions. It was dangerous and asked her to stop, but she continued anyway. In fact, she continued repeatedly and more exaggerated. When I told her I needed to end session early, due to tenderness and pain, Mary acted psychotic, she blamed her unethical, unprofessional, disrespectful actions on the client. She justified her intentional torturing of the client, for "asking a question" about the procedure. Yup, you heard me. Mary said, "Well, maybe you shouldn't have asked me a question until we are done, with the colonic." Who knew you weren't allowed to ask a question about the procedure and or be respected on your comfort level during a colonic? What kinda of colonic is that, then? Since a colonic is a therapist running a machine at the clients direction, basically. Mary E. B. Davis should not be practicing colon hydrotherapy. She is ignorant of the risks of what she does. She thinks she knows better than her clients over their own bodies, they live in everyday. She is not a medical doctor but acts like she is one. One at high risk for malpractice! Her info is purely based on her own self and yet she takes large risks with patients health. No therapist should do this and she will be reported. Most of her genuine positive reviews are from first-timers who don't know different and are at a different stage. Passing regular poo through a view tube is impressive. Colonics and the machine made by ClearWater are excellent, but unfortunately Mary Davis demonstrated during an appointment, she is unethical, unprofessional and disrespectful of her patents, and willing to jeopardize their long-term health. I wish I would have read the other negative reviews sooner, along with her inappropriate comments. Edit: Over 48 hr later, still pain since dangerous session at Colon Rollin. Mary didn't answer or returned my phone call to address my issues, which were also voiced in my session. But she did go to trouble to post two fake Yelp review "Ferdinand C." Lindi F." to cover up her real issues. AVOID this abusive and dishonest person, there are many great hydro therapists in Los Angeles. read more

Colon Rollin' had a groupon deal. I was hesitant as I've never had a colonic before and it seemed pretty embarrassing but after seeing ALL of the positive yelp reviews I tried it out. The actual treatment went well, but I have to say I found mary to be kind of rude from setting up an apt to the actual treatment. Which really surprised me! Maybe we just didn't vibe, or maybe it was all the stress from the groupon getting to her. Whatever the case, I found it turned what could have been a great service to something I regretted getting myself into. Too bad. I loved my colonic! I am a very healthy person, and I was truly SHOCKED when I saw all of the calcified looking, black/green/multicolored poo and sludge (yes, mucousy sludge) that came outta me (I called them "Swamp Things"). I had even taken a ginormous B.M. in the morning and STILL- the stuff that came out...Eeesh. I weighed myself before and after- I lost some weight just from getting rid of all that....sh*t. The best part for me was that she didn't manhandle my belly like other Colon Hydro-Therapists I've seen in the past. Therefore I didn't leave feeling beat up or sore AT ALL. She has a fancy heated toilet seat with a butt washer which was very nice to use. Nothing like a nice warm spritz where the sun don't shine after a colonic. I'll be returning tomorrow for my 2nd of 3 colonics. The joint was clean I left feeling SUPER relaxed Glad it's so good and so close Less expensive than other colonics places I've researched, and the machine she uses is SO much better than any I've experienced! I saw all the reviews (5 stars vs 1 star - same place?) and decided to try it. I agree with the fives! The one-star people are either wacky or have an agenda. (I do believe people may not gel with a place, but nothing about this is truly even close to a 2!) Mary is the key - I have had colonics before, not tons, but enough to know the experience and various practitioners. She's fun and vibey, makes the whole deal more pleasant. She is careful not to promise anything, but shows you what's happening inside you, and suggests ways it could be better. I followed the one reviewer's recommendation to try simultaneous days - it really made a difference. Day 1 was good, but Day 2 (when things are more open and soluble) really cleaned out a lot of old bad stuff. Couple of notes - the front room is almost a living space, with old couches and TV, books etc. This is NOT your Beverly Hills medical office style! In the bathroom and the colonic work room it's much more clean and nice: she cleans the restroom after every guest. It's homespun style, and VERY comforting for some, others may not find it enough of the medical style office-look. I like it myself. Another note: I have an allergy to cats, and one does live there, but it really didn't seem to affect me, but IF you are highly allergic this may not be the place. SO - I really loved being there, we even hung out just to chat afterward. She is VERY VERY gentle and careful. This is often an unpleasant thing to do at other offices, but Mary knows and is super gentle with the work. Slow explanations, babying you every step of the way. I am a fan! It's possible the 1-star reviews are real, but suspect they were having a bad day; there is ALWAYS someone who doesn't like a place, not matter how good it is. read more

Let me begin by saying that Mary often runs specials that are far superior to that of other Hydrotherapists. You get a quality colonic with a good therapist. -Mary is a VERY caring, personable and a patient therapist with good energy. She's down to Earth & no pressure which is important to me. -Mary weighed me in before and after therapy on a special scale and even calculated my body mass index to monitor my health, checking for my ideal body weight & muscle mass for my structure. -The hydrotherapy room and cool bathroom are clean, with hands-free soap dispensers, sani-wipes & complete with heated toilet seats. All of her equipment is disposable (of course--but thought I should mention it). -Mary's Hydrotherapy place is easy to get to and there is available parking on the street in addition to good metered parking. Her hours are great and she is readily available and let me know she even does house calls! -Mary does give you Acidophillus & a beverage after treatment. -Mary sells this amazing all natural soap with no chemicals which I really like. My reiki practitioner suggested I try colon hydrotherapy. I was hesitant for the obvious reasons, like it will hurt and you want to put what in my where?! Luckily for me, I found Mary! I had an amazing experience and I genuinely can't wait to go back in a few months. Mary is so gentle, it didn't hurt at all and I was so happy about it. I decided to do what the manufacturer of her machine suggests which is 3 days in a row. By the 3rd day I swear I couldn't believe my eyes when I looked in the mirror... I looked 10 years younger! The bags under my eyes were gone, yay :) not only that with Mary's help I had the opportunity to release 36 years of toxins out of my body. I had been thinking of getting a colonic for years, but I had never gotten up the nerve to do it. I received an offer from Groupon, and figured it would be a great time to try it. I checked on Yelp, and after seeing the positive reviews on here, I decided to go ahead and purchase it. I am so glad I did. Mary was absolutely wonderful from start to finish. Making an appointment was very easy, and she was very thorough in going through what I should and should not do before coming. Once I arrived (parking is super easy-another plus), she had me fill out a whole bunch of paperwork, and then went through all of it with me. She explained everything she would be doing before we went in, and answered all the questions I had. The actual colon hydrotherapy session was so much easier and more pleasant than I imagined. There was actually no discomfort whatsoever, and Mary made what could be an awkward situation, completely comfortable for me. She explained what was going on the entire time, and made sure I was doing okay throughout. She obviously really cares about what she does. Afterward, she went over everything, and gave me some suggestions for things I could do to help improve my health. I have gone back to her three times since the original groupon purchase. I have read about and heard from friends who have had colonics before after years and years I gave it a try. I was worried about finding a qualified therapist and did I ever. From the first phone call to make my appointment to the session everything was handled in a professional manner. I met with Mary and was instantly put at ease by her warm and down to earth demeanor. What can I say? I'll try anything once and my BF had been going on and on for ages about wanting to "get rid of that gross double cheeseburger I ate in 1979", so when I saw the Groupon for this place I didn't hesitate to book. Mary, the owner, is one of the nicest, most funny people you will ever meet. I guess we are fortunate that someone running this kind of business has a tender touch, motherly bedside manner, sense of humor and the friendly, discreet personality of a friend. Don't want to go too "in depth" (gratuitous pun intended) about the actual procedure - I think that we know the basics of what's involved. It's not painful, you get over your embarrassment quickly, it's kinda interesting, and DEFINITELY an experience. But Mary gives your questionaire a thorough review to come to understand what your health situation/issues are, and is full of helpful advice. Her cozy shop sells interesting health related products and the bathroom is to die for! I never thought it would be a positive experience to do this, but I'm glad I did it, if only to meet Mary.
