Been a patient for over 15 years. Top quality medical care. Office is always very attentive to my needs.

I strongly caution others against using this practice. In my experience, I was met with a lack of empathy, poor communication, and zero accountability following a serious surgery and its complications. I had a sigmoidectomy in 2021 and have continued to suffer significant consequences since then and am now disabled for the rest of my life. The surgeon who performed my procedure, Dr. Soo Kim, went on vacation the following day without informing me (I would have chosen another day if I had known), leaving me to be cared for by unfamiliar providers throughout my 12-day hospital stay. During that time, I developed a staph infection. One of her colleagues then reopened my abdominal incision and manually removed the infection with his fingers! Despite my asking for pain medication beforehand and requesting that he explain what he was doing so I could understand the process, neither request was honored. The experience was excruciatingly painful, frightening, and handled without the compassion or communication a patient deserves. A few weeks later, I developed C. diff due to the antibiotics for the staph infection and had to be rushed back to the hospital by ambulance. When I finally saw Dr. Soo Kim after her return from vacation, her response was dismissive: "Oh well, it was a dirty surgery." In the months that followed, I continued to experience extreme pain and difficulty with bowel function, yet I felt my concerns were minimized and ignored. She made me feel like it was all in my head and that I was fine. I left the practice and found another physician, who discovered a stricture caused from the original surgery. As a result of these complications, I ultimately required three more surgeries, an ileostomy bag, and removal of my rectum. To this day, I struggle with intense pain, spasms, and lower anterior resection syndrome, which has severely affected my quality of life. I also want prospective patients to know that this practice performs flexible sigmoidoscopies in the office without sedation, which I found to be barbaric. Based on my experience, I would urge others to seek care elsewhere if they have the option. read more

Utter failure. MNGI sent a referral to you early yesterday morning for an urgent matter. When I hadn't heard from you by 1:00, I tried calling: on hold for 30 minutes and then requested callback. Nothing. Called your number requesting advice from on call; couldn't be put through because I hadn't yet been seen. MNGI on call recommended I go to the ER. Done. Surprise, surprise: you called me this morning because the ER recommended a follow up with either my primary or you. Hard pass on you. read more

I had my first preventative colonoscopy at Colon and Rectal Associates in Abington, PA. I was very UNHAPPY with the billing. My insurance company would fully cover this as preventative care, except that the practice would not change the initial visit to the appropriate code requested by the insurance company. So I keep getting a bill for that visit after multiple calls from myself and the insurance company!!! And now they have reported me to a collection agency!!! This is not right!!! read more

I have seen Dr. Stephen Harper for one consultation and two procedures. He is very skilled (and fast!) He has a wonderful manner about him and makes me laugh. A VERY good quality considering the delicate nature of his work! Highly recommend him and his practice. read more

Dr. Harper saved my life back in 2000 and continues to look after me. Honest and straight forward when asked questions. Insurance is a pain in the butt, however that's not his fault. Also, Yelp sux! Don't use it for the reviews. They let anyone post even if they weren't a patient and then they call the business to charge them money to take down or bury the bad reviews. Scammers. Colon and Rectal Associates is a life saver. read more
