Racial Profiling - plain clothed security…read more Went in to the 10th avenue store to look for supplements to help with my joint pain. Went to the supplement area looking for help, no one was there for ~5 minutes so I walked around till a staff member appeared and I asked for help. During that time, a plain clothed security follow me and watched me as I looked for products. Even when I was talking to a staff member, he followed us around and stared at me. After I decided on the product, I mentioned to the staff that it was very rude what the plain clothed security did to me. She said she noticed it as well and apologized. I went to the till to pay and to no surpise, the security guard was still staring at me. I them waved to him and paid. I called to complain to the main help line, told them my issue and said they would get back to me. It has been over two weeks. Probably didnt get back to me as they never asked for my contact information This is a classic case of racial profiling. No response from Community Natural Foods. Want to help a local business but not after this incident .

I wanted to make a diet change first instead of medications (due to my high cholesterol), and my GP said to see the Dietitian at Eatuitive Nutrition. My job is demanding and life can be hectic, so I was worried to get recommendations that were not realistic for me. Luckily I was wrong. I started with a free consult, and based on my fitness + nutrition goals, and my bloodwork done in May 2019 that showed high LDL and triglycerides, we decided on a coaching program with RMR and body composition testing. My first appointment was a baseline testing appointment to figure out how many calories my body needs, and my body fat % and muscle mass. Then the second appointment was a 3 day nutrient analysis review. After all this we were ready to piece it together with an assessment. I was so impressed with the initial assessment and how in depth it was. The dietitian and fitness advisor learned about my past eating habits, goals etc, and we linked my lifestyle to the testing results, 3 day nutrient analysis and went through my macro and micro numbers so I had a detailed action plan with daily goals to focus on. I was told to eat more, and more complex carbs specifically to get more soluble fibre to reduce cholesterol. This amount of carbs scared me, as it seemed like a lot, but I'm so glad I took the advice as I've never felt better and my cholesterol numbers dropped a full point into normal range in 3 months!!! My doctor was blown away and said I didn't need meds!!! Also I lost 15 lbs, and more importantly kept it off!!

Claim ends up thru WCB, after literally months of back and forth trying to get them to simply give the file to WCB I find out that in my file he had written down the wrong knee having issues! Apparently they can't accept email, everything has to be by fax?! They said they never got faxes, never got letters, even after I could confirm that they did. Go get the MRI, I call them a week later to ask if they got it... they tell me no, but the doctor will call me right after they get it... the next day WCB calls they got it on the Friday before and have already had a doctor write a report. I give Excel 3 more days, I call and they lie to me saying they only got the MRI yesterday! Doctor still hasn't called. It's not just a single doctor, it seems they have their front staff lying to clients and very hard to work with. I emailed them asking if they would take a complaint before I posted this.... they haven't bother to respond.

I had met with my…read morefamily Dr. on a few different occasions to talk with her about it, she helped by changing some prescriptions and trying some supplements. That just didn't seem to help the problem. so I decided to seek out someone who may be able to help me in a natural way, that was when a friend recommended Dr. Gaul. I was told by my friend that it was tough to get into see her, but when I called it was only a week wait. So that seemed like a good start to me! The receptionist sent me a 16 page client information form to fill out. It felt like I was writing a book about my life, everything from dental work to what my fears are! It was definitely the most in depth form I have or probably will ever fill out! I faxed it back to the office so that the Dr. had time to review it before our appointment. Finding the office was a bit difficult, the sign is hard to see. So I ended up parking a couple blocks away and walking to find it. There is a parking lot for the building, which I recommend using. The office is nice and dim, I felt very relaxed sitting in the waiting room. They have a little play area for kids. There is also lots of information around about the therapies they do at the clinic. You can even sign out some of the books they have. It was very quiet when I was there, I'm pretty sure I was the only patient. Dr. Gaul is very friendly, she introduced herself and we went into her office to chat. We talked for about an hour, going over my forms. At the end she seemed pretty confident she knew what the issues where and explained to me what she thought. She took me into another room to do an autonomic response test, which I can't really explain. She was testing the response of my organs, pretty much. After the test she talked with me about the recommended treatment and plan for the next 4 months. I can not say enough about how nice it was to have someone listen to me, I didn't feel like I was crazy for not having a physical illness causing my problems! I felt so comfortable with Dr. Gaul, she was very conversational! As a follow up I returned after my 4 months and my fatigue was still an issue. I had improvement in other areas of my health so I knew something was working. She did another test on me, this time related to emotional storage. She told me that she had never seen so many conflicting issues on all levels as I had. That kinda threw me for a loop! She chatted with me a bit, explaining what that meant and perhaps why I would have that going on. It began to make sense to me. She started me on a homeopathic treatment, layer by layer. She again seemed confident that we would sort things out soon. I have started the treatment and have been on it for 2.5 months now. It was a rough start, I was an emotional wreck for a few weeks, but I can honestly say that I feel better! I do really feel that after 4 years I am on the right track! All thanks to Dr. Gaul! The appointments are quite pricey, almost $300 for the initial visit, so this is an investment in ones health. Its not like you go back every month, so in retrospect it isn't bad. The supplements and homeopathic remedies are another expense, approx $50-75 a month for me, which I know could be worse. I highly recommend that people like me, who are starting to feel lost or like you are stuck, in regards to your health, should give Dr. Gaul a chance to help you. I myself know it was a good decision, maybe it will be for you too!

Were it not for the CMHA I may not have been able to stabilize the relationship between my cortical and limbic systems, thereby allowing a healthy trajectory for the development of my mind.
