I brought my 2013 Dodge Avenger to Collision Clinic after I rear ended someone. After 1 month - due to a lengthy wait for parts - it was ready for pickup. As my insurance only covered a portion of the repair, I paid my bill and left with the car. After returning to work and completing a visit at a clients home, my car would not start. This was an hour after I had picked up the car. After much frustration and thankfully at no loss of my Employers time, I spoke to a Bill Didham, who not only did not apologize for what had occurred, was rude and would barely let me get a word in. He stated that during the repair, the mechanics had noticed my gear shift was sticking, and now as a result, it had to be perfectly positioned for the car to start correctly. He said that my selector cable was very rusted likely as a result of the vehicle being laid up for so long waiting for parts. When I inquired as to why I was not informed of this when I picked up the car (as it was unrelated to the reason I had brought in the vehicle and had never been a problem in the past), he told me they were a body shop, and that I may have had this mechanical problem prior to bringing the car in for all he knew. So, not only would they not pay for it, they did not feel it 'was their problem' and allowed me to pay 2200$ and drive away with a mechanical issue they were aware of. Disgusted with this treatment. What if something had happened? Treating people this way is not ok. I am certain they did not care as they had my money at this point. Also, I am certain I would not have gotten with attitude from this individual had I been a man, and been allowed to finished a sentence, with no apology, and no other explanation other than, 'not our problem'. read more
