Everyone who works there is super friendly. The decor is great. It feels like a dark, dingy bar but it's really nice. The stage is set up well and you can see it well from anywhere you sit. There's also a patio area outside where you can smoke and there are televisions outside that show a live view of the stage so you don't miss your show if you step outside. They get some incredibly talented folks playing shows there. Highly recommend going on a night where they have Chicken S#*t Bingo. It's a lot of fun and super cheap to play.

The front desk staff was attentive and easy to scan our pre paid tickets. I did not try any food items but did have a drink from the bar. The bartender made it to my taste since I am not a heavy drinker , with a light hand as requested. Highly recommend all tourists to get it out- the parking lot has security guards and I felt safe inside as well.

Great live music, good vibes, drinks always flowing, and prices that won't break the bank. What more could you ask for? Now, let's talk about these cover charges! I visited last year and don't recall paying a cover. This time around, I stopped by on Wednesday with no cover charge, but when I returned Thursday and Friday, there was a fee to get in. Naturally, I asked about it and was told they charge a cover 365 days a year. Well, that clearly wasn't my experience, considering I had JUST been there Wednesday without paying one. LOL. I don't mind paying to support live music, but let's at least be consistent with the information we're giving customers. Nonetheless, I sucked it up, paid the cover, and enjoyed myself! The musicians were fantastic, the energy was on point, and the atmosphere was everything you'd expect from a true Memphis blues joint. Cover charge confusion aside, Blues Hall remains one of my favorite stops whenever I'm in Memphis. HIGHLY recommended, especially if you appreciate authentic blues and a good time. I'll definitely be back!

The service was great even though we were all struggling to understand each other over the music. That is not a negative, it's a comment on how great the music is! I didn't try the food so I'm basing my review on the drink selection. They were out of a few draft beer options that night and the cocktail menu is limited. Outside of that though, we had an absolute blast here and I'd make this a regular stop any time I visit Memphis in the future.

My husband and I are frankly appalled at some things about this place and while they have a lot of…read morefans of it, I have heard of many who don't care for it and let me explain why. First, let's talk some positives. The waitresses are friendly and the food is quite good. However, receiving your food is often a slow process as they need more kitchen help apparently. But still you can get a good meal. Second good thing is they do have some fun activities like Darts, Pools, and sometimes have bands most of which are really good. And maybe all of that is enough for you. But! This place is very cliquish. If they don't know you, you may not enjoy it for me. Two, the owner seems like a nice enough lady but she is constantly using profanity, justifying, including the F bomb, and other choice words. I understand we all let a word out here or there but it is constant and that is unprofessional. My husband and I many months ago went to hear a band out of Memphis and she proceeded to multiple times get on the mike and let out a slew of profanities including using God's name in vain and then proceeded to demand everyone stand and sing Lee Greenwood's God Bless the USA. Okay, that would be cool but you take God's name in vain, you let off several F Bombs and then after the song is over let them fly again. Huh? And they claim everyone is welcome. That is completely not true as this isn't a bar it is a political rally. My husband and I are independents and we thought we might get mauled in there. Once again the owner will get on the mic with a constant political agenda. That is not professional. Maybe independents like my family is or yes even Democrats may want to come in and eat or see a band. Trust me you are not welcome and will not feel welcome. I don't care what someone's political agenda is you do not run a business that way. They may as well put out a sign if you are not an Extreme Right Republican do not enter the hallowed halls (And after seeing all the details about the Insurrection the other night, how can anyone defend either party these days by I digress). My husband and I believe any business that has a political agenda is unprofessional and should be avoided as much as possible. A bar and grill should be an escape from the real world. This one is clearly not. No thank you.

In other words, it is a clique and definitely not the place for someone who doesn't like hearing excessive profanity, Extremist political views, patrons attacked if they aren't paying attention to what the owner is saying etc. I will say the food is good there and the prices are decent but make sure you are a member of the Cult. And I know what you are thinking. Some of you are probably rolling your eyes saying ahhh a Democrat or Biden supporter. No, what I am saying is a place should be enjoyable and escapism and that is not it. The owner will also interrupt the band's set with a political rant. This is not a political rally it is a bar with music, pool, etc. Everyone is entitled to their belief system but keep it at home and I see other users feel the same.
