I have shopped a few NM's and this one is just like the others. Focused on food and personal care items without the clutter of soft goods and electronics and toys, it's a supermarket. Dairy, produce, grocery, meat, frozen. All the usuals. Of course, this is Walmart's backyard and so the associates are going to be friendlier and nicer than they are in the rest of the Walmart universe. In fact, one stocker in frozen overheard us looking for an item and came over to help us find it, even pointing out similar items we might enjoy. Unexpected! Clean, bright, well stocked. And the prices? Typical Walmart low prices. A good shop!

This is undeniably the lousiest pharmacy and drive up ever in our lives. I had occasion to be waiting in line indoors at the window for 20 minutes one evening and got to hear closeup first hand Walgreen traffic handling manners... their manners for the driveup customers... it was ugly and insensitive, the woman at the window should be out cleaning septic tanks, and the customer service sequence should be shown as a bad example in Marketing 101. Meanwhile the clerks trying to find scripts to hand out didn't have a clue where to look because they were never in the same place... it was a mad house... and it WASN'T real busy. UNORGANIZED. NO TALENT. Wonder what the employee turn over is, that should be a clue to somebody. Time to leave. They need a professional hatchet man to clean that place out top to bottom. An organizer to go in there and organize that place, it is a mess. What woke me up to quit Walgreens... when I was accused of being rude to their help over the phone.... when I was simply asking if 4 hours isn't long enough to pop 14 pills in a bottle, when should I return... they said they didn't care when I returned... and then when I returned, some she jerk gets on the speaker box and thought she was going to realign my butt instead of apologizing... thank you God for the 40 years of military training so I could demonstrate problem solving skills that I had learned, except for my limited vocabulary; but therer was sufficient volume so all nearby could benefit from the learning experience. Sorry, never again Walgreens, your brand of pill pushing done wore me out. But what I did notice by the above anecdote, they don't have time to handle scrips, but they have time to write little "this customer is service oriented" notes so they can insult him and threaten continuation of further service when he picks up. I should have immediately left, but with a spouse in pain in assisted living, I picked it up and then did the right thing and stopped at CVS on the way home. Let me give them an atta boy, THE ABSOLUTE BEST CANDY SELECTION AND CANDY PRICES IN TOWN AND FRIENDLY PERSONABLE FOLKS IN THE REST OF THE STORE. PHARMACY... YOU GET THE MESSAGE... WAKE UP.

I did not curse or yell. I simply insisted they should be able to accomplish this task. Based on the response, or lack there of, I must assume they are not prepared to do this.

It's a small charge and most days I can pick up the meds myself, but delivery is a lifesaver for the days I need it! I recently had a pretty rough day with medical news for one of my kids. The pharmacist remembered my stressed call and question from the morning and asked me about it later in the day when I had to pick up meds for a completely new issue. I was thankful that she knew my family and was encouraging towards me after a long day.
