Where to start? The…read morelocation is impeccable. When I first found out about its location, I was initially hesitant because it's on Alps/Broad, so I thought it would be loud... but it's incredibly quiet. There's no obnoxious noise and the residents are courteous. The complex is clean. There's no trash or litter around anywhere. There's a small fenced in area for dogs to run around, which is great. Not many apartments have that. The apartment complex itself is a gated community, so that leaves you with a sense of security. The pool is clean, too. Location!!! WOW the location is AWESOME! There's a back gate to the rear end of the Beechwood shopping center... right across the street from Kroger (and also Chipotle, which takes all my money). It's within (EASY) walking distance between both the Omni Club and BodyPlex. The staff is also awesome. Incredibly accommodating and always willing to address any issues you may have. They hold your USPS packages in the office (FedEx/UPS are left at your door), so you have to go there to get it, but it's really no big deal--there's always somebody there to get your stuff (and boy, did I order a LOT of stuff when I moved in!) One of the coolest things? You can pay your rent through a Visa/Mastercard, so you can maximize benefits of cashback/miles/rewards while paying rent. Neat. As long as I'm in Athens, I plan on living here. Out of 5 stars, it's an easy 5+++. 11/7/2014: It has come to my attention that the carpets are replaced every 5 years, which isn't a big deal realistically, however when the previous tenants of your apartment had two dogs and apparently weren't taken out frequently enough, it can become a problem. I recommend using a blacklight in your apartment prior to moving in--something I did not do until just recently, and the discoveries were quite harsh and abrasive. Unfortunately, when brought to the attention of the management, they informed me that there was nothing they could do. I still think this is the best apartment complex in Athens, but DEFINITELY make sure you know what's going on before you get a room! :)

The management and maintenance staff are always so polite and friendly and work quickly to resolve any issues you have (which are few and far between). The apartments are very well kept and clean. This place is extremely dog friendly! My little dog and I have loved having the park to play in with the other dogs in the neighborhood. Also there are poo bag stations all over and they are constantly stocked and the bins are emptied regularly! It is quiet and perfect for graduate students (and seems to be populated mainly by grad students) who are looking for a nice place and a refuge from the loud and busy atmosphere of downtown. Location is great as it is close to grocery stores and food options! The ground upkeep is awesome and always in great shape.

Our experiences with Paragon Luxury Apartments (formerly known as Pointe Grand Athens) have not…read morebeen great, and I would NOT recommend any woman(especially if you are single or do not live with a male) to live here. We have had two attempted break-ins in the past week and management has shown absolutely no empathy or concern or reliable solutions. For context: they do not have double locks or regular key locks, only 1 passcode keypad. The first incident occurred at 2 a.m. on July 19 when both my husband and I heard multiple taps on our keypad while we were in the living room. Initially, we dismissed it as a possible mistake by a drunk individual. However, the second incident happened just 2 days later on Saturday, July 21, at around 2:30 p.m., leaving no room for doubt. My husband witnessed someone slowly and deliberately pushing down the handle while pushing in our door, clearly trying to enter our apartment quietly and unnoticed. The second attempt has confirmed that the first was not an accident or a single random break-in attempt or a drunk "mistake," and we now feel targeted. We reported it to the management expressing our concerns and fears, and asking to terminate the lease early due to concerns about our safety, they told us they were absolutely not liable for our safety and would not let us terminate the lease early just because someone's trying to break into our place, even if we try and get camera recording evidence, it still does not matter to them at all. Please see the voice recording of our conversation with the manager of Paragon Luxury Apartments. These incidents have left us in a constant state of anxiety and fear. We should not have to live with the feeling of paranoia or the need to physically defend ourselves in our home. Yet we will still have to submit a 60-day notice (which means we have to pay 2 more months' rent before we can leave), AND a one month rent's worth of termination fee. The manager ALSO stated that normally you would have to pay back the move-in specials if you want to terminate the lease early, like gift cards they gave you when you signed the lease. Now we are trapped and have to sleep with one eye open. Additionally, they DO NOT ALLOW sublets, so if you are a student, it can be very frustrating. When we first moved in, nothing was actually cleaned. There was dog hair all over the dryer, human hair all over the bathrooms, loose screws, grease all over the cabinets, etc. There have been german roach infestations in buildings, and trash is almost never picked up on time. I am trying to be fair in this review, and I do think this would be a great place to live if you are lucky enough to never have safety concerns because most of the staffs are very friendly and helpful when it comes to small issues like maintenance and questions. But once serious problems like break-ins occur, they do not have any power or say in your matter, and you would have to communicate with the manager, whom we have had extremely bad experiences with. All in all, We do not wish this terrifying experience on anyone.

I've always had amazing response time and experience with my maintenance requests. I've never had an issue. They are always so quick to respond and come out to fix the issue. It's very quite for the most part, here and there you hear dogs bark but that's anywhere. I highly recommend this place.

I really wanted to like this apartment as it was the cheapest studio apartment in all of Athens…read more($915/mo) but it came at a price. When I moved in, there were more than a handful of problems: - Multiple lights out - A broken AC monitor - A broken garbage disposal - Broken handles in the bathroom - Cockroach-infested area - Random Christmas tree parts in the water heater closet I also had to get the entire water heater replaced because I had ~5 minutes of hot water when I showered. There are still lights that do not work (that I cannot fix as the ceilings are 10ft high) and in the bathroom there's this amazing little dim light that showcases all of the cockroaches in the ceiling if you turn the other lights off. It took about 4 months to get rid of them as CollegeTown maintenance did little to nothing to help fix the problem, and I had to pay for an exterminator with my own money. They use Community Water for their water (no other option) which is arguably the worst water company in all of Athens. I have the most expensive water bill out of all of my friends and always try to conserve as much water as possible. Additionally, the walls are PAPER THIN. I generally don't mind dogs barking but there are dogs constantly barking here - you will get no peace EVER especially if you are in Building A. You can hear entire conversations in other people's apartment from yours. Property managers don't seem to care about the noise levels or the fact that residents haven't been able to get in one of of the two doors of the building for months due to the fact that they never sent anyone the new passcode. When leasing your apartment out, they barely give you a days heads up that they'll be showing your apartment - with all of your things in it - to random people and you're expected not to be there when they do. There is no on-site recycling (which is actually illegal in Athens as there is an ordinance stating there has to be a recycling option if there are 2+ tenants living in a building). I had a time when I came back to my apartment with human feces and sewage on the floor because a neighbor flushed makeup wipes down the toilet and the plumbing company they hired messed up and cleared the blockage into my apartment. Took weeks to get them to help me with my claim to renter's insurance as my furniture, clothes, and shoes were all damaged. As an undergraduate or even graduate student living in Athens, I promise the aesthetic of this apartment is NOT worth all of the trouble you'll have to go through living here.

Atlas Athens (Trinitas Ventures) is the definition of deceiving residents to get them to sign a lease, and then not giving them the features you promised them. In advertising, promotions, and tours, they brag and boast about features by either grossly exaggerating or straight-out lying, but the contracts are written such that they can weasel out of being legally required to provide what they promise us. Does a "luxurious, extraordinary" apartment purposely have dirty buildings and no soap in bathrooms for a year straight? They are great at acting like they are trying to help and like it's not intentional, sending out statements saying "solutions take time and we are actively working on solving this", and stalling for so long that the entire year goes by and they don't have to spend a dime on the solution that they owe us. This is not a luxury apartment, the "lightning-fast high-speed internet" is weak and goes out randomly, and does not exist in the fitness center and yoga room. Staff is nice and respectful, maintenance is quick and helpful, and there's a modern gym. The workers are friendly, community is good. The issue is the deceptive, dishonest, deliberate false advertising and promotions of Atlas. Live with limits at Atlas.
