Parking is a mad house. Not enough room to get around other cars to search lot. And this was in the beginning of March 2021.

Owned by Beaufort County, this airport offers a convenient gateway for me especially to visit family on Hilton Head Island. The smartest decision I made when planning my visits was to start flying into Hilton Head Airport instead of Savannah Airport. It is significantly faster, easier, and far less of a hassle. Although the airport is small, its compact size makes it incredibly convenient for inpatient travelers like me. Shorter lines, quicker security checks, and less walking. Well, walking is good for you, but sometimes you are in a hurry. Currently, the airport is undergoing renovations and a slight expansion, which is great news. These improvements will enhance the overall experience without sacrificing the ease that makes Hilton Head Airport so appealing. For me, it is a perfect choice; simple, efficient, and getting better all the time.

This…read morelocation was the center of activity on the island in the late 18th and early 19th centuries, as the chapel was in close proximity to a Militia muster house and a Masonic lodge. It is also home to the oldest existing structure on the island, the Baynard Mausoleum, which was built in 1846 by William Baynard, a wealthy Plantation owner. The cemetery contains the graves and memorials for four Revolutionary War Patriots: Isaac Baldwin, James Davant, John Stoney, and Charles Davant. Charles Davant was ambushed by a Tory militia unit, was mortally wounded, and is the only known Patriot casualty on the island. It is clearly an old and disused cemetery. Some of the headstones are quite worn and impossible to read. There is a small parking area that is accessible from the Matthews Drive ramp. This is history. A short visit, well worth the quick stop if you are nearby.

Even if you have a tee time at the famous Harbour Town Golf Links, you still need to enter Sea Pines Community and pay the fee - something to keep in mind if you're planning a golf trip or just want to explore.   Had we known, we would've saved some time and combined our exploration with our tee time, rather than doing it all in one day. You can generally explore Harbour Town and the surrounding Sea Pines area within 2-5 hours, depending on what you want to do, whether it's shopping at the Harbour Town Lighthouse Shops, grabbing a bite at the Oyster Reef or the Quarterdeck, taking photos of the iconic Harbour Town Lighthouse, or just strolling around to soak in the vibe. Notable spots to check out include the Harbour Town Lighthouse, which offers great views of the marina and beyond, and the Calibogue Sound. The crazy crab is a must-visit for iconic coastal dining. Also, the Harbour Town Marina is perfect for watching boats and enjoying the waterfront scenery. If you're into golf, the Harbour Town Golf Links is a legendary course designed by Pete Dye, famous for hosting the RBC Heritage tournament. Overall worth the visit if your in town!

We stopped here during day 2 of our girls trip to Hilton Head (HH) SC. The weather was not the best for the beach, but that didn't stop us from exploring parts of Hh.. teo southern charm stores that caught our eyes: Spartina 449 & Francesca's. Spartina 449 is an upscale women's clothing line plus handbags, accessories, jewelry, etc. I was absolutely smitten with the colorful clothing showcasing both classic and modern styles. Being in the store provided a unique shopping being in South Carolina experience appealing to us women. However, be prepared for the higher than expected prices. Then we ventured to Francesca's. When I lived in Wyoming, I shopped at one of Francesca's only store in Cheyenne and thought it was a lovely boutique with a mix of "girl next door" clothing, fun/cute accessories. Although, overtime, the store has changed like for what I remembered., but he still has some worth getting pieces. Danielle, the store Clark, was very friendly, and it was truly a pleasure meeting her. I bought 2 dresses and a few accessories. I have included mostly pics of Spartina 449 as it was a beautiful experience & if you go, check out the swing which was very relaxing and comfy.
