It's a great idea as an vintage junk yard expo, but I found it all too much. There's only so much walking and looking that can be done. Some of the rooms are interesting, and you can probably find something of interest for everyone in your party. This shop is partnered with the Amazing Mill Markets in Geelong and Daylesford. They are open from 10am to 6pm, 7 days a week. We tried a few places, but they had stopped serving lunch so late on a Friday afternoon. We almost walked straight past Sebastiaans, as it looked like a pretty average diner type place. Our stomaches however, would not let us pass up the opportunity to eat some food, no matter how dodgy it might have been. I'm pleased to say that i was very pleasantly surprised. We walked in and were very warmly greeted by the man working there. He was very welcoming and told us to grab a seat and that he's on his own so the only thing he's not doing is pizza. We were pleasantly surprised by how friendly and hospitable he was. After a quick perusal of the menu, we made our choices and scott went up to order. Very promptly, Scott got his milkshake served in a metal cup, old school style and he tells me it was delicious. I had the veggie focaccia served up not long afterwards. It was fresh, tasty, hot and full of flavour. It had obviously been freshly made and not left sitting in a warmer like many other places. The venue it self was pretty cosy and comfortable and as they are across the road from the movies, they have a board where customers can rate the movies they've seen, its pretty rad! Glad we didn't walk on by.

We only stayed for a coffee but it was a really good drop and I would definitely recommend giving the Larder a go!

The other meals for our group looked pretty good too, bacon & eggs were a generous size serving, there's definitely no scrimping on the bacon here. We were all very happy with our breakfast choices. No split bills, but that's ok. There's also produce available for purchase including coffee beans, wine, condiments & sauces. I would highly recommend Gourmet Larder when visiting Daylesford, whether for breakfast, brunch, lunch or just for a coffee.

For those of you who do not know what a bee sting is, it is a German dessert with caramelized almonds filled with custard. At Beechworth Bakery, their bee sting cake is slightly improvised with a "sweet, melt-in-your-mouth bun that is lightly spread with apricot jam, filled with creamy custard, and finished with toffeed almonds" Coffee here was superb too!
