As one example, I once brought in a big hand-painted ceramic plate (wedding gift) and asked how they recommended hanging it on a wall. Three staff members, gathered around their table in the back, conferred on the spot. They problem-solved and discussed. They ended up taking two wrought iron hooks off a shelf and welding them to be just the right curvature to hold the plate up. Next they recommended the hardware to hold that weight on our old walls. This was all done in ten minutes twelve years ago and the wedding plate is still hanging on display. All this expertise and quick help was free. The hooks and hardware cost next to nothing too. Amazing. Over the years, people at Cole's have made us new keys, replaced glass, loaded mulch and soil into the back of our vehicle, mixed paint, mixed more paint, advised us on paint, and advised us on everything else from lawn edging materials to wall patching to light bulbs to outlet replacements and dimmers... I've gone to the local Big Box Store Competition, and their "service" can't even be called service by comparison. I wander around for a long time to find someone and the person I find can't help. At Cole's I always get help and answers. Human connection in the form of expertise and friendly service, and top-quality products, all in one. If you haven't gone, go. Have to call a supervisor on the phone to translate between themselves and my wife. Ok - we can work around that. Show up with zero tools and can't close the water supply valves. Wife calls and I point her in the direction of some channel locks. She shuts off the water as the bozos hang out and watch her. Now, 8 months later, I begin to remove the dryer to move it into an addition we just completed. Mmmm very difficult to move - feels like something is stuck between the dryer and floor. Have a look underneath and NO FEET installed. Just put the metal dryer bottom against the flagstone floor! Thanks, Lowe's! Keep hiring top notch employees. Is it possible to find people that go beyond not giving AF?!? If possible Lowe's will find them.
