The UPS Store

The UPS Store

(12 reviews)

A few weeks ago, I sent a package to a friend staying at a temporary residence in Florida…read more Unfortunately, the package never arrived, and we honestly did not realize it until she asked where it was! Apparently, UPS in Florida did not like the address, even though packages had been delivered there many times before. Somewhere along the line, the package ended up in limbo. Sierra at the front desk at The UPS Store on Lady's Island was absolutely lovely and helped me gather as much information as she could. She truly cared and did everything possible on her end. Then John Horton stepped in. John personally called me and immediately went into mission mode to help locate the package. My friend had already moved and had a wedding to attend, and the package contained her outfit and other important items she needed before leaving. Thanks to John's persistence, kindness, and determination, we were finally able to track the package down and have it delivered to a UPS hub in Florida, where my friend was able to retrieve everything in time for the wedding. I cannot thank John Horton and the staff at The UPS Store on Lady's Island enough for everything they did. This went far beyond anything I would have expected from a UPS Store. Their customer service, compassion, and follow through were exceptional. Thank you so much. Julie

Came in today to drop off an Amazon return and was told that they couldn't accept my return because…read morethe computers were down and would take about 20 minutes to reboot. So I waited 20 minutes, only to come back in and have them tell me the same thing. So they basically didn't know when the computers would be back up, didn't bother to tell me that initially, and they can't do anything manually. Their response was: well it's basically inconvenient for everyone. No apology. Ridiculous. Well, now we know where NOT to go.

Printkeg - Two different postcards for my latest film on Tubi, I'm very happy with how these turned out.

Printkeg

My experience with PrintKeg was better than expected. I especially appreciated having my posters…read moreshrink-wrapped and carefully packaged and was blown away by the turn-around time. As an independent designer, I work with A LOT of print companies. Most often, the choice is between budget pricing and customer service. It's pretty rare to find a company that excels in both areas. PrintKeg manages to do this while maintaining excellent turn-around times. I ordered some greeting cards at a different time. The price was better than the vast majority of other print companies who do short run cards, but the quality was lower than expected. Some of the edges were rough and looked almost creased. I concluded that it made the most sense to rely on PrintKeg for poster printing which is, after all, their specialty.

I made this Yelp account specifically to write this review. Read the other 1-star reviews, there's…read morea lot of overlap. tl;dr: - they sent me unusably poor quality prints, then ghosted me on support, then "lost my emails", then refused to reprint because fixing splotchy colors is something they "cannot resolve on [their] end." My prints were a splotchy, smeary mess in a very obvious way--it was clear nobody had ever looked at the prints before sending them out. I emailed their support team over a weekend with photos of the defects. Monday: No contact. I email them in the evening just to confirm receipt of the prior emails, which they do. They say they're receiving a "higher than normal" number of emails and that things are taking "longer than usual," but refuse to answer what that means in terms of that week, next week, etc. Tuesday: No contact Wednesday: No contact Wednesday evening I email them asking for an update, and get asked "Can you provide details about why you need a reprint?". Let's remember I emailed them 3 days prior, with captioned photos, and that they *confirmed receipt of that email* on Monday. I was then told they "could not locate" my prior emails, so sometime between Monday and Wednesday they "lost" my email, like it's 1996. It's pretty funny: in the _same email thread_, they both say they received the emails _and_ that they don't have them. I forward them the emails a second time, and then on Thursday they tell me they're refusing to reprint and issue me a refund, with zero notice or discussion, "since there were so many issues [they] cannot resolve on [their] end." There was only one issue: "the blues are splotchy". I guess that's too complex for them to fix? They then said I could try again with a "compliant" file, I guess blaming me for not knowing their equipment can't print light blues? Worst retail experience I've had in a good, long while. Utterly disappointing, stay far, far, away.

Staples

I was staying in an airbnb last month and was having trouble connecting my laptop to their wifi. I…read moreneeded to work, so I went on a mission to find a cable to hard wire to their modem. I tried two places before Staples - had my fingers crossed as I entered the store. A woman who may or may not have been the manager happily assisted me by guiding me down an aisle and knew just what I was looking for (unlike the other stores). She showed me two different lengths and I chose one and she suggested I get a converter for my laptop. Smart lady! I had forgotten about that! After that good luck I took a chance and asked if she had Imodium (my son needed it and Walmart was out). She actually ran to an end-cap and looked! Didn't have it but had something similar, I can't remember what. I have to applaud good service and this woman who was working on 11/22/24 at 9:45am needs a commendation for going over & above! Thank you!

I'd like to give them zero stars but that isn't possible. Had a laminating job to do. They have…read moredone them before no problem. They're always quite rude and dismissive, but you get used to it because that's how they are.. everyone knows it. And reviews going back 10 years show that it's consistently bad. But it's one of the few places we can get print jobs done in Beaufort. My job was 12 laminated photos put back to back.. image on each side. 10 out of the 12 laminations were not able to be used because they were not lined up at all. When I took them back, they gave me a refund and they blamed the machine. When I went to speak to a manager about it, the print guy follows over so he can listen in. And now he decides to blame the employee he said may have made this mistake - who was not there, of course. Human error. I ask if they can get it correct and he tried telling me photos don't work well in a laminating machine so he goes back to trying to blame the machine. He doesn't want to do the job. He gives me the name of a graphics place nearby.. the Prince staff at Staples are useless. They don't want to do their job. They don't want to be there. They don't care how much money they waste in materials.. I'm going to be contacting Staples corporate office and explaining a little more in detail and show them the results of their inefficiency. With the evidence. Why do people think it's OK to be employed but not do their job? And waste customers time and money.? it's not cool. And it's why we have to do more than just write a review on yelp. people need to be held accountable.
