She is kind, compassionate, incredibly responsive, and brings so much energy and warmth to every interaction. There have been multiple occasions when one of our children have shown signs of an ear infection late at night, and she responded promptly, saw them to make an accurate diagnosis, and made sure they received the treatment they needed as soon as possible. Whenever my kids feel anxious about an appointment, she is able to calm their fears, make them feel safe, and even turn the visit into a positive experience. I especially appreciate how thoroughly she explains medical concerns in a way that's easy to understand. She takes the time to answer questions and listens to my concerns. I always feel heard, respected, and confident in the care my children receive. We are so grateful to have found Dr. Ashley and highly recommend her!

1-to-1 Pediatrics - Dr. Nash!!!

1-to-1 Pediatrics

Hands down, the absolute BEST PEDIATRICIAN IN AMERICA!…read more Well...okay, he's the best in the East Bay for sure, according to Bay Area's 2016 Best of the Best by Bay Area Parent magazine: http://www.bayareaparent.com/Article/Best-Pediatricians-in-the-Bay-Area/. Dr. Nash implements an old school "Hometown Care for your Child" approach. Whenever I call, a real person always picks up. I love that they personally know my family and are even up with our current events. I never have a problem getting a hold of someone either via phone or email and the response turn-around is within a few hours, if not right away. Lori at the front desk is SO SWEET, personable, and professional. Booking appointments is a total breeze and flexible when it comes to our schedule. As for shots (4 kids = tons of shots), I only trust Pam; she never hesitates or gets nervous if a kid is screaming their head off. With my 1st, I thought this was kind of insensitive; I was SO mistaken. She's super quick & efficient, finishing literally in seconds BECAUSE she knows this is what you need as a mom. If any of them are due for shots, I always make sure to schedule their appointments on days that she's in the office. Dr. Nash is just plain cool! We've been with him for almost a decade and he's seen us through so much, from reassuring those first-time-helicopter-parent-freak-out sessions through to bigger kid sport injuries, broken bones, and every thing in between. He's so laid back, easy to talk to, and ultra reassuring - but simultaneously very professionally proactive when need be. Aside from being extremely personable, professional, and trustworthy, he truly cares about my family. I absolutely love how accessible he is and that he pretty much runs a one-stop-shop. For example, when my son broke his foot, he got fitted for his boot right in the office within an hour of the x-ray being done. When one of my daughter's needed antibiotics, he shot a quick prescription email to the Danville Pharmacy located next door for me to walk over and pick up. When there was a jaundice scare for my youngest, he reassured me that I wouldn't have to come back to the hospital if phototherapy was needed because he would send me home with a biliblanket right from their office to treat it at home. SO AMAZING and truly eliminates the stress of traditional office practices. He also offers a membership-based service designed to compliment the already phenomenal care they provide: 24/7 immediate availability of the doctor, in-home newborn care from birth through 6 weeks (home visits!), video chat consultations, admission to monthly educational seminars (i.e. vaccine safety, childproofing, first aid, infant sleep etc.) and more...totally unheard of now-a-days, but incredible to have. I can't rant and rave enough about 1-to-1 Pediatrics. They have been such a blessing the last 10 years and I can't imagine having it any other way for the next 20.

Top notch care and always responsive. Taken our kids here for years - Dr Borden is the best!read more

The staff has recently changed, and they are not as friendly as they have been and I debated giving fewer stars for that, but since we love Dr. Quan and Dr. Eburu who we see when Dr. Quan is not available, I left it at 5 stars since that is what they deserve. I WILL however, be writing a separate review for another dr there who we do not care for AT ALL. Ok, shoot. I can't write a separate review. So I'm just going to review this other dr here, but leave the rating the same because I don't think the entire practice should suffer from one grumpy person. Dr. Ash is the absolute worst dr I have ever seen. He is mean (for lack of a better word) and makes you feel stupid for asking questions. Unfortunately the drs we normally see were not available so we took an appointment with him, but I will NEVER make an appointment with him EVER again.

All the doctors I've seen here take their time with my children and are kind and friendly. Thanks Bayside!

I will not bring my daughter back to this clinic…read more I rarely leave reviews, but I believe this experience needs to be addressed. Last year, our experience with this pediatric clinic was very positive. We were treated well by everyone, from the reception staff to the doctor. Unfortunately, this year's experience was completely different. The clinic initially contacted me and offered to schedule my daughter's annual examination. I appreciated the call because my schedule had made it difficult for me to arrange the appointment myself. The day before the appointment, after I had already confirmed it electronically, I received another call requesting insurance information. I was in a work meeting and explained twice that I could not speak at that time. I offered to call back after 5:30 p.m. or provide the information early the following morning before our 10:00 a.m. appointment. Instead of acknowledging these options, the staff member continued asking the same questions and then asked whether someone else could answer them. I explained that I was working and that no one else was available. She then stated, "If you do not answer my questions, your daughter's appointment will be cancelled." I found this unnecessarily disrespectful. I had clearly communicated that I was willing to provide the information at a different time. No one called me back later that day, and I did not receive any notice that the appointment had been cancelled. To prevent further problems, my teenage daughter and I arrived early the next morning so that I could provide all the necessary information in person. The receptionist asked for a physical insurance card. I explained that my insurance provides only an electronic card and asked how I could submit it. Rather than offering assistance, the receptionist told me to upload it through MyChart. I explained that I did not have an active MyChart login. I had previously received only a link that allowed me to confirm the appointment using my daughter's date of birth. It did not provide access to an account, and I had never received a username or password. When I tried to explain this, the receptionist gave me a scornful look and continued responding in a dismissive manner. She requested my name and date of birth but did not clearly explain how this would help me upload the insurance card. At that point, I felt that my questions and efforts to cooperate were being treated as an inconvenience. Because of the way we were treated, I asked to cancel my daughter's appointment. This situation could have been resolved easily through more respectful communication and basic cooperation, unfortunately this clinic is evidently in lack of such 'frivolities'.

I called (not knowing Dr. Brock had left) for a copy of a referral to a GI Dr. Brock gave at our last appointment so I could follow up with the GI. I was denied a copy of the referral, and when I asked if that meant that they were refusing to provide me with my daughter's medical records, the answer was yes and that I had to contact Dr. Brock directly at her new office. I could not believe the level of unprofessionalism. I called Pleasant Hill, and I was informed that I am far from the only one to have experienced this treatment. I might understand some less than cordial treatment if I was informing them I was leaving, but all I wanted was my kid's medical records. That this facility has chosen to put the internal fighting as a priority above patients is disgusting. I don't know that we'll follow Dr. Brock, but we certainly won't be staying here. We will miss Desiree, who was always kind and friendly, but I have no trust whatsoever in this place.
