Dr. Mary performed a surgery to remove an mct which was cancer on my Ozzy that even the cancer vets said couldn't be removed the way she did it. Now future return of it is yet to be seen but I'm ok with that! I will just go back and have her treat it again. Also she charged less than 10% of what the cancer vet was going to charge!! She also showed the most kindness and sympathy when we had to end suffering of my 15 year old cat Gizmo. read more

The best affordable vet I've ever been to. I love Dr. MERRY. Worth the long drive. Attentive and honest.

My horse is having really bad allergies this year and Dr Merry has been treating her with such great care and attention. Sometimes it's tough to get a grip on illnesses but I know she's doing her best to help my horse. The office staff are always polite and helpful. I drive almost an hour to get here but it's worth every minute. Knowing my horse will be cared for the way I think she should be and knowing that the vet sees my problem and not dollar signs like most other vets is paramount. I'm a fairly new client and will continue to use them as my vet. I recommend this vet facility. read more

Hands-down the BEST vet I've ever had in half a century on this earth. I've been bringing my own babies as well as fosters here for five years. Dr Merry is legendary in this area. She and her staff are BEYOND incredible. They actually CARE about not only pets, but the pets' humans as well. They will explain everything in detail. They do not mind if you ask a bunch of questions. They will give you no-nonsense, educated, and COMPASSIONATE answers, even in the worst of situations. I could list SO MANY instances where Dr Merry's compassion has personally impacted me - she's been there with me over the years for three elderly dogs whose time had come to go over the rainbow, one of which passed over the weekend at the clinic (Dr Merry tried HARD to save her - 13-year-old dog with pneumonia) and called me personally on a Sunday to let me know. Listened to me cry. Never rushed me off the phone. Nothing but absolute HEART. Most recently, she and her AMAZING staff have taken over care of my pup who decided to jump off the front of the pontoon boat and go through the propeller. It happened on a Sunday and Bella had MAJOR surgery on her back legs at a Houston specialty hospital on a Monday a month ago, but now she is in Dr Merry and Dr Will's hands for her recovery and rehab, and future further surgery for her hip. She couldn't be in better hands!!! They love her and will probably almost be more ecstatic than me when Bella walks again! There is NO BETTER RECOMMENDATION I could ever make. This review is FIVE YEARS in the making, not just a one-off. I also just read the two negative reviews. I would like to respond. The one who said they had an appointment on Thursday - Dr Merry and Dr Will are out in the field doing large animal care (cows and horses). NO appointments OR walk-ins happen on Thursdays. Period. Always been this way. This reviewer was, indeed, mistaken. The second reviewer, all I can say to this is that Dr Will is one of the most incredibly compassionate humans I know, but I don't think for two minutes he would put up with jackassery, and the clinic DOES triage appropriately. You WILL wait if there are others in greater need. The reviewer also never said what was wrong with their dog or what the outcome was. Very suspicious there, take it as you will. If they were kicked out and asked not to come back - it's not the clinic I question. It's the reviewer. read more

Coldspring vet is an amazing place to take your pets. And farm animals. Dr Merry is wonderful and her prices are affordable. I've been to different veterinarians and they charge an insane amount for simple things. Not here and I love it. If you don't have an appointment (and don't expect to get an appointment for at least a month or two Away) then you will have to wait. Doesn't matter the situation. This vet gets way too much traffic and that's something people need to understand. If you can't wait 4 hours in your car until they are ready to see you then go somewhere else. Staff is very kind and reception does a great job at dealing with everything and everyone. I love this place and will always come here to take all of my animals. read more

From comments and reviews Dr Merry seemed like the the type of caring vet I was looking for. For that kind of vet I was willing to make the hour drive. Called and scheduled an appointment for today, Thurs. Arrived about 10 minutes early - lots of dogs and owners waiting. Went inside to check in where I was told by a snippy, not-welcoming receptionist- tech that I couldn't have an appointment because they didn't schedule appointments on Thursdays. She said I probably called the wrong ColdSprings Vet / and that was that - no is this an emergency, do you want to schedule a time. When ASKED she said there was nothing available until Nov. and I guess they were happy to see me leave. Dr Merry may be great but I would not go back after the reception and attitude I got. read more

The most affordable veterinarian I've ever been to. Not just affordable but they truly care for your animals no matter what they are. I've sat in the waiting room with a goose and everyone was just in awe and took such great care of him. I've taken my car here as well and they were just awesome. I absolutely love taking my animals here. Be warned though , it is a very long wait if you do not have an appointment. And appointments are hard to do since they are booked months in advanced but that should tell you how good they are at what they do here. read more

Friday December 16th, 2022 my partner and i took our dog to the Coldspring Veterinary Clinic. he signed her in at 8 AM as a walk-in. this is AFTER we called scared and asking for help the previous day; and we were told to come in the following day and we would be seen. at about 10:30 AM after waiting for hours, my partner stopped Will, a doctor at this clinic, asking if there was any reason the people showing up after us were already being seen, and if our dog could be seen. immediately he began speaking down to us, "if we're seeing anyone before you it's something simple, like a vaccine." at this point, im crying because my dog has been sick and acting weird since December 15, 2022. i told him "we've been here three hours. i understand you're swamped, but if you just look at my dog you can tell she needs fucking help!" i know, i should've kept my calm but anyone watching their dog deteriorate over a matter of 12 hours, after being told they would be taken care of, would be as irate as i was. as if this wasn't enough, Will felt the need to tell my partner and i "your neglect does not constitute how fast we move." not only we were disrespected, kicked out, and told we were NOT allowed back. Will called back after we got to her to another clinic, he apologized for accusing us of neglect and said we could bring our dog back; however that does not make up for the terrible treatment we received. read more

I've been taking my dogs and horses to Dr. Merry for 9 years and I feel so blessed to have her clinic near my home. The care is excellent, her fees are down to earth. Which is why she is so very very busy. This means there will often be wait times, but it is so worth it. Dr. Merry and her staff do their very best to accommodate as many clients as possible, I never doubt their compassion and skill.
