One word.. RUDE! Horrible service. Waited 30min for an online order and she let half of our other order sit on the counter. So while they were making the other half of our order everything was liquid by the time everything was done. Would not recommend this location to locals. I know my flavor preferences aren't that the "kids" like these days but if you have Butter Pecan on the menu, it's what I want. So I ordered what was supposed to be "butter pecan". You'd think there would be pecans in it. But, nope. None. You want pecans in your butter pecan?, you better pay extra. The ice cream I got was mid way between soft-serve and hard pack ice cream...kind of odd. Also, a strange grey-ish color. I've never ever seen butter pecan this color! When we like to treat ourselves to a lil something special, we hop into this creative little Ice Cream shop just off Sadler Road. It's tucked very neatly in a corner & often overlooked. Almost everyone is familiar w/ what Cold Stone Creamery has to offer - choose your Ice Cream Flavor and then pick your Mix-In's such as fruit, candy, syrups. This location is trying hard to be the perfect local Ice Cream parlor ... they employee young adults, who are likely still in school or recently graduated. They aren't very well trained in offering pleasant Customer Service, but they aren't rude either. They are just getting the job done. We stopped in on a Saturday evening to treat ourselves for our Anniversary. We felt rushed & hurried even though we were the only customers in the store. Since we don't stop in as often as we'd like to, it took us a few minutes to read the board full of signature creations, browse the available flavors & decide from all the wonderful options. The young ladies behind the counter did okay, but there was no smiles, no pleasantries, no excitement. Not sure what I was expecting, but I was underwhelmed. There was some confusion on the Yelp offer of a free Waffle Cone upon check in. And, I had been chosen as the winner of a free Pint of Ice Cream through a Facebook promotion so they had to call & verify it with the owner after I had verification pulled up on my phone. While we were waiting for them to figure everything out at the register & over the phone - our Ice Cream creation completely melted :( The ice cream is heavenly - as long as yA get to it as soon as it's been mixed because it begins to melt as soon as it's scooped out of the freezer & they begin mixing!! Maybe they should keep it cooler inside, or check to see just how cold that mixing Stone really is. We have visited other locations who actually had a Stone that had a thermometer on it to ensure it stayed at a colder temp so your creation stays cold as it is mixed. We had to ask for a punch card, & these young ladies didn't seem to notice our disappointment, or care when they passed us cups of melted ice cream creations. We spooned up our liquid $12 desserts & tried to just be positive and enjoy ... Hopefully our next visit will be more satisfying & we will KNOW to grab that cup the instant it's filled so we can enjoy it while it's still in a solid form. read more

On a Saturday evening my wife and I decided to treat ourselves to Cold Stone for dessert. We sampled a few new flavors since our last visit & quickly chose our desserts. I had my usual chocolate & peanut butter signature creation & my wife chose the Creme Brûlée Signature Creation that was also the current advertised creation. Inside the store was neat & orderly. Everything looked well organized & clean behind the counters. The outdoor seating area was also well kept and easily accessible while offering adequate lighting to enjoy your ice cream after sunset or late evening. The service was average, not the best, but I've also had worse. The young ladies working the counter that evening seemed to be distracted, and just went through the motions. It just wasn't what you'd expect to get from Cold Stone Creamery, or any ice cream shoppe, really. Our creations were delivered to us almost fully melted & they didn't seem to be concerned at all. They didn't even notice our dismay at being handed a cup of creamy liquid instead of a nice smooth mix of Solid Ice Cream, and we were the only customers at that time. I stopped in ColdStone Amelia Island this evening to treat myself and my husband on our way to see our daughter. The service was impeccable. Bailey and her friend Emily were so patient as we tried flavors. The girls gave us their recommendations and went as far as to put my icecream in a size up cup so it wouldnt drip. The girls were just fantastic, two of the best and kindest young people my husband or I have ever come across in customer service in all our years. This is one of our favorite stops after dinner on Amelia Island, but tonight was extra special.
