Not only was their pricing more than reasonable, but when it came to the day of and seeing our bouquets, arch florals, and florals and greens for the tables, we were absolutely blown away with how beautiful they were. Dana was so kind and patient when working with me in coming up with specific florals I had in mind, and I was so grateful for all the time she gave me during that process. Dana even created a sweet little piece for my mom that was attached to my bouquet to give her, and that meant the world to me. Coming from out of state in a city where florals are astronomically expensive the moment you mention the word "wedding," I was so taken aback by Falls Florals in that they remained reasonable, and truly, more than fair in their prices for the absolutely breathtaking work they do. If you have your wedding in Black River Falls, or somewhere nearby, I would highly recommend working with Falls Florist! Working with vendors such as them absolutely MADE our wedding unforgettable.

I have been a customer of Avalon for decades and have always loved their shop. Recently, I ordered…read morea bouquet of flowers for my Mother-in-law's 89th Bday. Her Bday is on St. Patrick's Day, and I mentioned a nod to that, might be ok (maybe a shamrock or something somewhere but not over the top). I told them it was for her dining table in her house, and I would like it to be flowers, not too stuffy or traditional, with some wild flowers, and that her favorite color is blue. They were so nice and helpful on the phone. They delivered it on time, even in a snow storm (A+ really). So when my Mother-in-Law sent a picture of the bouquet they sent, I was shocked. It was mostly green filler with a white flower buried in the middle. It looked like it might hurt someone. She put it on her fireplace (most likely because it would not really go on her table). My first thought was that the arrangement looked exactly like the things you can find in Trader Joe's floral section. I mean, EXACTLY. So, I decided to call them and let them know that it wasn't at all what I expected. I expected a happy floral arrangement with roses, sunflowers, daisies, tulips etc. I also mentioned that it looked like they went to TJ's and bought some filler and stuffed it in a vase. It didn't even really come nicely in the vase, no leaf wrapping raw ends etc. They were quiet when I said it looked to be from Trader Joe's, but to their credit, they were extremely understanding and professional. They quickly made a new bouquet with more flowers as a replacement and sent it out immediately. Avalon sent me a photo to preview the second bouquet and it had yellow tulips and more flowers and pussy willows, so I told them it was beautiful. It was beautiful, compared to the first one. AfterI thinking about it, I realized that these were also flowers ubiquitous to Trader Joe's. One of the pussy willows in the bunch was cut sharp and had no blooms, kind of like a spear . I asked them to fix it, not sure if they did. I like buying cheap flowers for myself at Trader Joe's for a quick bouquet in my kitchen but not for a special birthday presentation. TJ's get seconds from the suppliers, flowers that are smaller or just off grade A. The bouquet was $100 delivered. I would have gladly paid more for a better quality bouquet . I know it is very difficult in this economy for businesses to stay afloat, and my heart breaks for them. I support small businesses all the way, but I think Avalon and other florists should give their customers a choice, let them know what they are getting (maybe offer different levels for different prices). I could have made the bouquet for $20 from Trader Joe's myself. I know there was work, expertise, and service involved, but it just seems wrong. I am writing this so people know what they are purchasing and what choices florists and other small businesses are being forced to make in this economy . Sad. https://floristsara.substack.com/p/the-florists-shopping-at-trader-joes?triedRedirect=true

I chose Eevy Ivy Over for funeral flowers for a dear friend based on their great reviews. I wish…read moremy experience lived up to that. Living out of state, I called to place the order, saying I liked the look of the "Eevy Ivy Special"and "Colorful Blooms" style arrangements on the website, and I'd like something along those lines that I left up to them, for $100 plus delivery. The website arrangements were $55 and $75, so I expected my arrangement to be similar but a little bigger and better. I said colorful was fine, as my friend was such a joyous person. I expected a professional-looking arrangement. What was delivered was a shadow of the website arrangements, with some color in the center and a ton of spindly greens and queen anne's lace surrounding it that gave vibes of something picked off the side of the road. The photo I have was sent by the delivery driver at my request. I posted it here. A friend who attended the funeral and saw the arrangement in life was also unimpressed, saying it definitely didn't look like $100. I actually wondered if maybe my order was confused somehow since I never received a receipt, bill, or anything, but my credit card statement told the story: They did bill me for a $100 arrangement plus delivery. I called the store owner Becky to discuss it. She was very nice, as were all the employees I spoke with from there. She expressed that the arrangement was large and beautiful, and said two customers in shop commented as much. Perhaps it was large, but with what? The expansive "weedy" look was nothing like the website arrangements I asked for. Becky said it was nowhere in the notes that I referenced them, and that the only notes were, "colorful" and, oddly enough, "sticks," which was definitely a surprise. I actually spend considerable time giving the order, expressing how important it was to me that the flowers were beautiful. Becky said the driver took a bad photo of the arrangement, that didn't showcase its true beauty. In all fairness that may be a factor, but not enough to justify what I got. Just no. She did then say they might have missed the mark on this one, and to be fair, asked how to make it right, offering to send a bouquet to someone else as compensation. I appreciate the offer, but this was for a funeral... a special event that I was unable to attend, and that can't be done over. I regret choosing them for the order.
