Every single treadmill at the location on port I have used consistently. Well, I've tried. And they just flat out need replaced. Something wrong with the motor. It's not "fixed". So stop acting like it is. People are paying over $50 a month. Maybe you should have working equipment. Used to say Genesis was expensive, but I'm realizing it's worth it. Because they have more income to be able to properly fix their equipment. Instead of opening the gym in Wamego, you could've fixed the facilities you already have.

There are barely any mirrors in the facility (not a single mirror in the private workout room), "coming soon" signs up that have been there since opening, outside of building still hasn't been painted, etc. It is a nice gym with good staff, but the lack of mirrors makes it hard for beginners to work on their form.

This place used to be really nice. Since they won't last you cancel your membership except once a…read moremonth, I still have to pay for it and I discontinued use back in 2018. It had already started to decline with machines that were never fixed. Fast forward to the last month. 2020. I've been twice a week for cardio and sauna use. I was stunned by the condition. It was filthy. No rags, no disinfectant, the equipment is torn, broken and some are literally unusable. The gym had obviously not been cleaned in a while, the ceiling is falling down from leaks, the "ab" room has destroyed equipment, dead bugs, and dirty stuff everywhere. The mirrors are smudged from hands and greasy bodies. This is not just one visit, these are sporadic visits throughout the week. There has been a laundry basket on the counter (inaccessible due to hours) that has not moved in about a week. The carpet is torn. It is water stained. I mentioned the ceiling is literally falling apart? The sauna! I can only speak for the womens. It is filthy. It is working, but the buttons are crushed, and theres a leak in it too, with a bucket of water under it...did I mention it is a dry sauna? The womens locker room is littered with trash, smudged countertops, gross sinks and let's not talk about the toilets, or the tile floor that's coming up or the showers with mildew and mold. I mean, I don't want to scare you from this. I am so disappointed in this place. I'm not sure where Great Life got it's idea of what a country club is, but it certainly isn't this. The pictures I do have could be confused for an abandoned shack of what used to be. The ONLY improvement is a new sign for golf holes. But don't bother. No one is there during hours of operation. Not a member? Walk in through the members only door, it doesn't lock anyway.

I have been going to great life since 2015 and I have kept quiet about some of the things that I should complain about only because, it was something I could fix or it was something that I just ignored. I come to your gym at about 3:30am in the morning to get a nice workout before work. To get in your gym, i no longer need my membership card because your reader on the door no longer works and anyone can walk in, just for your information I think it has been broken for about 6 months now. I didn't mind because the reader would normally break, or not work or just not let anyone in. When I walk in the place is normally a wreck with weights in the gym being left out, or scattered or things being shifted in an awkward position, peoples clothes left all over the place and at points I have caught teens dry humping on the equipment (I was appalled and wiped down a lot of the equipment, this is still a complaint, but not my main complaint). The complaint I have is that today, I went to use the bathroom and someone smeared feces all over the stall and the toilet! I was disgusted and furious because I know this could have been prevented. This had to be a grown adult with no common sense! But like I sad this might have been prevented if things worked properly! At this rate I don't even know why I am paying a membership fee if you guys don't take care of the place! I have also seen other things that are disappoint me and other members. Your equipment is falling apart. I have seen bolts out of machines, I have seen equipment so hollowed and old that they are being held by duck tape. There was a leg press machine that had not been fixed until RECENTLY when the new gym in town moved in. Your outdated equipment does not bother me because at the start of my Afghanistan tour I had the same type of equipment but overtime it improved. Also, the roof has been leaking for the last 2-3 years. Your treadmill's are death traps because they will stop without any warning and by the will of GOD have not caused any person any harm. I have also noticed some acts from your employees that make your members question how you hire. The ladies (All I have seen are ladies behind the counter and working) just sit behind the counter and only clean when it gets to horrible. I have seen trash cans that don't get changed for months, no soap at the sinks, vomit in the floor that settles IN THE LOCKER ROOM CARPET!! There is a worker that lets her boyfriend/husband ransack the place by throwing weights everywhere and slamming things and just being fallout rude to everyone. I have talked to some members and they have complained about his attitude and actions constantly but nothing has been done, probably because they don't know they are complaining to her spouse, or management doesn't give a damn. This is actually a small list of complaints, but some main points have been made. I would like to let you know is the reason I come to your gym is because it it 24 hours and I can lift heavy and in my opinion there is more equipment at your facility than the Y.M.C.A (no disrespect to the Y.M.C.A). I just want to know where my money is going, and why I am paying anything to be here. Because if no one cares for the place, why should I?

He offered me several options even though it was no issue to me if I didn't finish. Needless to say I did rush through and finish my round right as their outing was starting and he still offered to discount my round and gave me a drink and some other minor memorable swag. That's true professional behavior there and should be rewarded with continued support of this course. Course was in great shape, hardly any brown grass and greens in amazing shape. Hard to accomplish in this climate I would imagine.
