Beware of permanent facial scarring!
I paid over £300 for a special package of three sessions of "Dr Pen" for the face and neck at the beauty clinic in Hounslow, Bath Road.
The first red flag for me was during my first session with a beautician at the clinic...
From the start, it was all very rushed and unprofessional; within a couple or so minutes into the treatment, I was informed my forehead was bleeding more than it should, however I was reassured everything was fine, and treatment continued.
Second red flag was she only took ten minutes altogether on my face and neck, only covering some parts of my face and neck. I questioned why some parts to my face and neck were left untouched, to which she responded with "I did treat all the face and neck" I then politely asked why the session lasted only ten minutes to which she responded with "Well that's all the time you needed" even though I pinpointed clearly areas that evidently had not been touched after looking in the mirror, yet she refused to acknowledge this.
Third red flag was only within a few days after the treatment, when swelling had slightly subsided, pit scarring was visible all over my forehead, specifically in one region with three fat rounded needle punctured track marks that stood out the most, side by side in a row, to my horror I was disfigured and cheated out of my money. The same day upon noticing this, I phoned in and asked to be seen.
I was seen eventually seen by the same beautician at the clinic. She took me into a private room and sat me down. I shared my concerns with her this is where the gaslighting began, after me directly showing her the pitted scarring, she responded in saying that she could see nothing wrong with my skin and that these were only "enlarged pores." She was rude all the while I was polite and respectful throughout the whole conversation, and was also close to tears, because of her indirect mocking, i.e her stance, tone of voice and her choice of words.
Fourth red flag was when I directly asked her for a full refund, I was refused straightaway by her. I then politely asked for a partial refund and I was yet again refused even though my two other sessions were paid for in advance.
Fifth red flag was when she was reassuring me to continue with another session of Dr Pen with her, I asked politely (Knowing full well I wasn't going back to finish my treatment with her) if I could see her paperwork before we continue with treatment to reassure me that she's qualified in treating people with the needle device ( Dr Pen) to which she responded "if you want to see my papers, you'll have to go through your solicitors for that" Her tone was passive aggressive with an untouchable demeanor. This was all insult to injury which added to my trauma.
Sixth red flag is advertising free Microdermabrasion treatments within the clinic under the requirement that you have to post a good review on their services. You'll see their leaflets at reception if any are left. So if you see good reviews, don't let that fool you.
I don't care in having any of their other beauty treatments that were offered to me as an alternative to Dr Pen, I wouldn't risk more damage to my skin. I have lost my money but learnt a valuable lesson, check people's credentials before allowing them to touch your skin. read more
