They have large, medium and small washers (front loaders) and some top loaders. Plenty of seating, wheeled carts to easily go from inside to tour car. A quarter dispenser if you don't have quarters but they also take cards for convenience. There is a restroom and even a TV to help pass the time. They do have soap onsite but I brought my own. The washers don't lock so you have to be there when the loads finished but it's a pretty quick machine 24ish minutes. I love that it's dog friendly and I can walk across the street for a delicious burrito! I used it on weekdays and timing was perfect but weekends it looks like it can get kinda busy. Even though my washer is now fixed, I think I'll still be coming back once in a while.

Obviously I would never just assume that a laundromat takes ApplePay, but since they explicitly advertise in two different places that they do take it, they robbed me of my time and effort.

There are four different types of washing machines, the smallest being a "double load" and the largest being able to hold six loads of laundry. 18 dryers. Two change machines, which can take $1s, $5s, $10s, and $20s. There is a bathroom inside, which is always clean. Next to a Circle K, so if you want a soda or snack, you're set.

What can I say? Its a no-frills laundromat in Sherwood, alright. Not exactly the most convenient in…read moreterms of having the ability to be seated without someone dumping their wet/dry clothes all over the tables that are situated in the middle of the venue, but the place gets the job done. In addition, there are no card options (or even wash cards where you buy credit)- its all about the quarters here. So be prepared to bring cash to change into quarters, of which there are two change machines readily available. I had to learn the hard way, especially when my hotel up the street (Hampton Inn) didn't have either washer & dryer options nor quarters at the time. Quite a bit of available top loader washers & regular dryers here- at least two dozen in total. The dry cycles run on 7 minute increments per $0.25, and have variable heat adjustments. The washers are basic agitator systems w/o the new upgraded versions that do deep cleans. They are about $1.25 for a 30-minute cycle. The upside to this Wash Tub laundromat is that there are machines that accommodate large comforters and other duvet sizes. Saw it with my own eyes with couples doing their family's bed sheets + comforters. Again, the downside is perhaps the seating area. I moved a foldup chair to the corner next to the bathroom to do work on my laptop, only to hear someone blow out their bubble guts on the toilet due to diarrhea. Not exactly the best sound to hear, but whatever- that's what ear plugs are for! That, and you can easily sit in your car & wait without too much disruption from others. I will say that Washtub has good Wifi, and that there are outlets available by the change machines to charge your phone & other electronic devices. There is a Subway 60 feet to the left, as well as a Pub. Across the parking lot is a Taco Bell. Certainly a few food options to choose from when waiting. Yet I seriously doubt that they'll change your dollar bills into quarters. If you are plastic heavy, walk up the street 100 meters to the Wells Fargo ATM, get $20, and get that bill changed for quarters here.

Okay, first of all, whoever called this place "modern" has clearly never done laundry in downtown Sacramento. Because, no. I couldn't find any electric outlets anywhere, and I searched really, really hard for one. They seemed to be intentionally hidden and obscured so as to prevent customers from using them. The washers and dryers were clean enough, but the soap compartments on the washers were nasty. For people with allergies and skin sensitivity issues, this can be a really big deal. You'd either have to come prepared to clean the machine yourself, or end up with all kinds of random soaps and detergents on your things. The price was a little bit higher than I'm used to paying at $6.50 total to wash and dry the equivalent of 3 small loads. The parking lot seemed to be very popular with people who came to loiter and blast music. I saw at least one guy come through looking like he was looking for idle clothes to steal, but he didn't find any. My clothes did get clean and the time the machines needed was reasonable, even though the machines looked ancient and you could literally hear air leaking from the dryer.
