I was only here for a half a day, but I could easily have spent much longer. The people are lovely, the town isn't crowded, and it's drop dead gorgeous. I guess some people call it the Venice of Portugal- which is kind of an insult as it's much nicer than Venice- which stinks and is full of obnoxious shoving tourists. Aveiro isn't a thing like that. On my tour, there were three Italians, two others that were from the UK and me from the U.S. Our tour guide went back and forth from Italian and English without any issues. We'd already been to Cascais the day before so we just stopped for a bite & went on to the other sites. Luis was great and gave us plenty of time at each stop. When we got back we realized the only thing we would've done differently was stop & see the Freemason site. The cost of entry at each attraction wasn't included, neither was lunch, but it was a great deal for €12.50. When we got to the Pena Palace there was a huge line, which Luis had us skip by collecting our money & returning immediately with our tickets. Highly recommended!!

He clearly loves Fatima and knows his stuff. We went everywhere connected to the visitation and the tour ran a lot longer than four hours. His car is very comfortable for us senior citizens. We asked for a dinner recommendation and he took us to his family's place. Excellent meal that will be reviewed elsewhere. He treated us so well we can't stop talking about our great day.
