While walking through Interlaken Ost area, you can't really miss the beautiful woodwork outside…read morethe storefront. We were drawn immediately to the wooden ornaments, and went in to pay. The owner, Gabby, was at work carving into a wooden block. Friendly and personable, she assured me with pride that she created the pieces herself. She speaks 4 languages so do come in and admire her work. Inside is filled with her amazing craft. Detailed masks, cuckoo clocks, animal carvings, spatulas, there's something for everyone here. I wish I had more room in my luggage to buy something more substantial.

The proprietor was NOT ok with this - we walked in saying we were just browsing and that seemed ok for about 5 minutes but soon he flat out said "if you're going to buy I'll show you ... Otherwise ..." Sounds good! See ya! I can find these types of items in plenty of other places. I'd skip this store next time.
