Dr. Ryan treated me while I was pregnant with our 2nd daughter. Seeing a chiropractor throughout my pregnancy was amazing. Dr. Ryan was able to help with some of the typical aches and pains that your body experiences throughout pregnancy (think sciatic nerve pain, trouble sleeping, hip issues, etc.) while helping me prepare for the birthing experience. I saw him right up to my final days prior to delivery. Without a doubt, by having my body and mind in a healthy spot, it made my delivery experience smoother than my first! Also, given the troubles we had with our first daughter, we decided that we were going to be proactive and have our brand new baby seen by Dr. Ryan prior to bringing her home. The day we were discharged from the hospital (and our daughter was 3 days old) - we went straight to Dr. Ryan's office! Dr. Ryan is so great and has the ability to switch his attention and approach (think 3 day old baby - to grown adults) quickly. Every time he's treated our daughters he's great at getting on their level, getting them to calm down, and relax. Now, our youngest is 14 months and we are working with Dr. Ryan to address some of her sinus issues. She has the best experience when we go see him. She's calm and let's him adjust her and most days she doesn't squirm too much! I wasn't being disrespectful or anything, just wanted to gauge how much longer it'd be... and I've noticed her being pretty rude with other clients both times I've been there. It's a job that requires patience, I get that. But if you can't be decent to patients with back pain 20-25 minutes after a scheduled appointment you might be in the wrong field. If you're cool with a snobby young receptionist, and college drinking stories from the guy working on your spine... feel free to check the place out. Even though I have a VA prescribed Service Animal from an Internationally accepted accredited supplier, they decided that they would violate my rights under the ADA, publicly humiliate me, and refuse me treatment unless I submit to illegal questions, supply illegal information, and adhere to illegal restrictions on treatments. When I pointed out that they were acting outside of the law, instead of apologizing and moving on, they doubled, even tripled down. If I can not trust them to follow ADA, how can I trust them to follow other laws? If I can not trust them to admit an error, correct it, and move on, how can I trust them with my care? The answer is I can not.

I prefer this kind of medicine (PT) over just taking drugs for pain and/or having surgery. I brought my wife in for back pain and they figured out her one leg was shorter than the other.
