Service was the main issue. Took 10-15 min just to take our drink order, then she dropped off the drinks and walked away without taking our food order, so we had to wait another 10-15 min for that. Food took another 20-30 min and came out lukewarm. The Eggs Benedict was okay. It's nothing I'd go out of my way to get again. French toast tasted like something you could easily make at home and throw chocolate chips on top of, and the bacon was dry like it has been sitting out for a while. It's been years since I've come here. Overall I've liked coming here in the past but this last visit today was kind of strange. I ordered the croissant pastrami sandwich and the server talked me out of ordering it, saying I should get the regular pastrami sandwich instead. I asked what the difference was and she said one was easier to eat, which made no sense. I said I still wanted the croissant instead of regular bread and she said yeah they can make it so it came with a croissant. So I got the pastrami sandwich with croissant bread instead of the pastrami croissant I originally wanted to order. Both had the similar prices on the menu but when the check came, she charged me extra for the croissant (really unfair) but I was with someone and I didn't want to make a big deal out of it as it's kind of awkward. My friend offered to pay for lunch but I said no, I can pay. The server asked that we both give her our credit cards, which made sense b/c I thought she would just charge each of us what we ordered or at least, split it. But she came back waving my credit card in the air and asking us whose credit card it was. She said that she had her male friend in the back kitchen randomly pick a card and charged the entire meal on that card. It was very awkward and strange. I of course could not say anything to that or risk a really awkward situation with my friend. But I was not okay with having some random person pick a card and charging our entire meal on it. That should have been clarified ahead of time at the very least. If I were to treat someone to lunch I want it to be an intentional decision on my part and for the person to feel treated and not b/c I lost a "bet" or it was just the luck of the draw. Now I'm paying the full bill without getting the social benefit of actually treating someone to lunch. It's like, oh well, you just lost the draw. That just let a bad feeling with me. The server was friendly and attentive and came out a bunch of times to check on us and refilled my friend's coffee a bunch, which we appreciated. But she took a lot of liberties that are unprofessional and out of bounds and overcharged for things that she recommended which made no sense without explaining that there would be an extra charge. This is unfortunate as I do like the food here and it's a nice little neighborhood spot that held great memories but I feel awkward coming back here and having to deal with the stress of quibbling over extra charges or playing credit card roulette. read more

One of our orders was mistakenly given to another table so they had to make a new one. We had to ask more than once for silverware and a couple of condiments. On my way back from a 3-day Vegas trip that morning 2 weeks ago, I was looking for a nice, cozy breakfast joint before heading home. I looked up Yelp and found this place (with great reviews). As I walked in, a nice lady by the name of Lauren greeted me with a friendly welcome. I asked her for breakfast recommendation as I had my cousin (and her 2 daughters) with me visiting from Korea. Lauren knew what to recommend for 2 adults and 2 kids. She was very nice and friendly and I got to briefly talk to the owner Kyle, who was also so nice and friendly. As my wife described this restaurant, "Ho Hum." The staff was friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, the interior was painted a dark green with dark wood flooring. The ambiance was dark and uninviting. We've been here before and I had forgotten how gloomy the atmosphere was in the dining room. The autographed photos hung on the walls were interesting, though the single "Best of Las Vegas 1993" plaque along with the age of the pictures certainly gave the impression that the business hadn't evolved with the times. The food was okay, though our potatoes definitely had a burnt garlic flavor and the eggs were a solid medium cook rather than the over-easy we had requested.
