It was good but I had a amazing experience with Krystal in Ankeny. She was attentive, informative and made sure to enter my points into Allé. Krystal took her time doing my facial and I actually felt like I got a facial with her because my skin immediately started flaking after which is what it's supposed to do. Will definitely go back to see her often. She gave me a mini tour on all the skin care afterwards and explained in detail the Allé points and how you can receive products with your points for SkinMédica only. It would have been nice to be notified that my regular LE was not longer with the company and ex person would be doing them- since then I had Ali & Kristina and Taylor finish out my treatment appointments. Each LE does the treatment different, so I had no idea what to expect for the last 6 months of my treatments. I had to keep asking them to do it the way I preferred. This was the only reason for 4 stars in this review. I have had a hydrafacial with Taylor since, and she is wonderful, easy going and explains the treatment the entire time. I would go back to her anytime for her knowledge and disposition.

Looking back, I think this was them trying to get me to cancel. Once I met with the aesthetician, she told me that a chemical peel was "bottom of the barrel" and "a waste of your money, because you're going to be disappointed with the results." She then recommended $3800+ worth of moxie and other services, none of which could be done during my appointment. She also said that after those recommended treatments I would still be disappointed with the results, and would need additional expensive treatments. I left feeling very disappointed and self-conscious. I do appreciate the honesty of this conversation, but it was still incredibly disappointing and wasted my evening. It kind of felt like the aesthetician just wanted to be done with her day. It also felt like they were using the visia results to scare me into buying their treatment plan. At no time was anyone rude, she was very kind and direct. I've had an excellent experience with a hydrafacial in the past at the spa. I think it would be beneficial for them to ask what your skincare goals are, instead of just assuming that you're looking for flawlessness. I have no expectation that my skin will ever be free from signs of sun, as I am outside every day. Mixed feelings on if I'll return.

I've never had a problem with anyone in the office, always paid my bills, followed their recommendations, and have been a loyal patient. Last week, I missed an appointment because I was sick. Since the office is closed on Fridays and weekends, I called first thing Monday morning and explained the situation. I told them I was already on my way and simply wanted to know if there was any chance I could be worked in. I made it clear that I understood I did not have an appointment and was willing to wait in my vehicle for hours if necessary in case an opening became available. The front desk informed me that they could not guarantee I would be seen. I said I understood and asked if the doctor could call me back. When I arrived at the clinic, I was stunned to find police officers waiting for me. I was then informed that I was banned from the practice. I never threatened anyone. I never raised my voice. I never caused a disturbance. I never demanded treatment. I simply drove to the office and asked if there was any possibility of being worked in after missing an appointment because I was sick. After months of traveling hundreds of miles, spending thousands of dollars, and supporting this practice, being met by police officers and permanently banned was one of the most bizarre and humiliating experiences I have ever had as a customer of any business. If this is how a long-term patient is treated for asking to be worked in, prospective patients should be aware before choosing this clinic.
