Chinese massage places appear to be popping up everywhere much like Chinese restaurants. But a…read morewelcome relief for sore tired bodies and as they say no pain no gain, and it kills (not in the true meaning of the word of course). The prices are good and the massage therapist does pin point the culprit area to work on, which is a problem as that's most painful spot! The front facade is mainly red which is a lucky colour for the Chinese, not so sure about the flashy 'open' signage it's a bit porn shop, but rest assured it's not. The menu listing on the front window reads exactly what is on offer and prices, so if it's not what you're looking for you don't have to go inside and ask. They offer many services from general massage to cupping, ear candling (which I want to try one of these days), reflexology, spooning and electrotherapy. Gift vouchers are also available to give as a gift and may be a good introduction for someone who has never tried Chinese massage before. In comparison to the pop up massage tables in Westfields' a designated shop has more privacy and more time can be spent without the rushed hasty massage. One thing not on offer is private health rebates which can be off putting.

You might say you get what you pay for but in this instance it didn't even come close to being worth a visit. Don't waste your time and money!

Ha's isn't much to look at, but can you name a Chinese Massage place that is? What they lack in…read moreprettiness and glamour they seem to make up for in blissful torture that will have you squirming and gritting your teeth in agony/ecstasy as they work the knots out of your feet. I'd been walking around Adelaide for two days and my feet were feeling crampy. A 30 minute session at Ha's was just the ticket to release the tension and revive me after a full couple of days and I walked out (warning: cliche approaching) feeling as if I was floating on a cloud. Time and money well spent! Pro tip: if you have private health insurance ask about the remedial massage rebates.

Ha's is great! Has, located within the Adelaide Central Market is by far and away my favourite for convenience, as there is almost always someone available to help you without an appointment. They are also consistant and all of the masseurs seem to be experienced and adept at chinese massage. I have not been disappointed yet! The rule of thumb in these places seems to be that you pay essentially $1 per minute - keeps it simple and you know what you're up for. I can reccommend the head, neck, shoulder and back massages. They will get into your butt cheeks with the back one, but they're all performed fully clothed and oil free so even the modest should feel comfortable. These massages are not for the faint hearted (unless you specify) as there are elbows involved. I also enjoy the akon cleanse - even if just for the gross out factor of seeing how brown your feet can make the water and the foot reflexology seems to genuinely benefit me. Has is an affordable, quick and easy way to take some time out and unwind during your week, I cannot recommend them highly enough!
