I'm just passing through Sydney, but I realized that I badly needed a haircut. I have very thick, wavy hair and I'm in the awkward process of growing out a pixie cut. I walked into Coco's and insisted that I just wanted the back of my hair trimmed up. Due to the language barrier I ended up getting an all-around trim and losing a fair bit of recent growth. However, I will say that I really like what the stylist did with my haystack. She razored in some layers and tamed some of the thickness. While I ended up with a shorter style than I was intending, it's actually pretty cute, and it works well with my natural texture (always a plus!) I paid $30 for a trim, but if I had opted to get it washed first it would have cost extra.
The atmosphere wasn't fantastic, and the store itself was a little dirty. However, I felt like the instruments they used on my hair and the cape I wore were clean. Very friendly staff too! If you're in the market for a $30 ladies haircut, then that's what you'll get here. read more
