Amazing ice cream when in this part of Germany. Located in a holiday seaside town it's the perfect location for some tasty treats after a day at the beach and shopping. Was craving some ice cream and with a few dessert stalls in this town I did my walking rounds before picking a spot. I always pick based off of 1. Which seems the most popular with the locals 2. A good variety of flavors. After walking the town I could see this spot had both.
I beat the rush and got right up to the counter to order my ice cream. I couldn't fully read and understand all of the flavors since they were written in German. Some were close enough to English to figure out the flavor but of course I picked one that I couldn't make out the meaning at all! Lol. I went my coloring and lucky me I got the most perfect coffee ice cream with a light almost brownie like swirl. It was fabulous and tasty! Also super cheap. Under 2 euros for the baby scoop. While I could easily have ate more I just wanted a taste and it was fabulous.
I appreciated that there were some indoor seating options so I could sit down to enjoy my ice cream. Not sure if I was supposed to do that as the tables were numbered but they were kind and let me sit without commenting. A lot of people were dining in like a traditional restaurant. They had awesome ice cream concoction choices and there were staff taking orders and then going back behind the counter to make the desserts. I saw beautiful sundaes and milkshakes made. Works of art they were. I was simple though and just did my ice cream scoop.
Staff were very friendly and welcoming. All good vibes here and definitely a win for a sweet treat this summer. Staff spoke German and English perfectly so no issues for me. read more
