If you find yourself walking along the beach in East Kühlungsborn, there's only one ice cream place in town you need to know. Coco has been recommended by our German friend and claims it's the best ice cream ever! HE'S RIGHT! It was freezing cold when we came for ice cream (Baltic Sea weather is so unpredictable!) and after an hour at this spot, the rain came pouring! but we weren't worried since they had a retractable roof that shielded us (and our ice cream!) from getting wet. Aside from making their own ice cream on site, the staff are super nice and actually joke with you (I'm not used to this when in Germany) the presentation is very pretty and the prices are affordable, even for a tourist area. Everyone enjoyed their ice cream sundaes! the most popular choices were strawberry and mint ice cream! I'm not much of an ice cream person so I had their berry yogurt parfait.
