Cookies and other sweet things are also delicious here. The beer is also great and suits a place like this. Try the polish brands! And finally the food is great as well. I think they only serve Polish dishes. The only problem is that the menu is entirely in Polish. But the friendly staff did a good translation with a smile so the problem was not that big. The interior is really fantastic and unique. They have collected tons of old stuff from a time period that is no more. The things have a beautiful touch of patina from an interesting history. There seems to be new people working here every now and then. I went here every day on my last visit to Gdansk. Everyone from the staff were really nice and service minded. Each time was a pleasure to go here, because of the staff, the cool atmosphere and the food. I can highly recommend this very special place, but don't tell everyone, it's best kept as a secret! :)

The ambience did it for me. I felt like I was Alice in Wonderland when I stepped into the place, I just wanted to walk to every corner or the place and inspect all the furniture, wall art, books, antiques and trinkets. Whoever built this place is an artist and must be a very interesting person! I can lounge here forever. The whole layout/ setup of the venue is quite cool, there's a small corner room that feels like a living room (but very artsy) and I'm just in love with it!!! I went on an afternoon for coffee, but I can only imagine what it might be at night.... with a live jazz band (possibly?) it would be heaven!! Go, now. And again!

This is the birthplace of the famous and traditional Gold Wasser (gold water) liquor with flakes of 22 carat gold, apparently made here (but not anymore since 1945). Very traditional place, somehow too traditional: if you like a social and behavioural restaurant - museum: this is the place for you, darning! You will not see any locals: it is typical 'heritage' tourists rip-off place

No low cal, healthy and fresh choices on the menu. Across the street - a tapas bar. Super fresh food. No heaps of butter or mayonnaise. A full meal costs 35% if what you'd pay for eating in this Gdansk landmark . The decor , though, is majestic .

The meat was cooked to the perfect temperature and both cuts came out at the same time and were ready to eat. The sides were timed perfectly so they were the ideal consistency and the seasoning was something I wish I could duplicate! If you want to impress a business colleague, a date, or just like hanging with some cool people you MUST find time for Eliksir when in Gdansk. Also, they have a scotch menu and Cuban cigars that you can smoke in the private cigar lounge. 5 out of 5!
