Katie puts pressure on clients to write reviews for her after the first cleaning (she did me). If I had done that, my review would be different. If you're going to use CC one time, you may get a good cleaning (though still high-priced by comparison). The longer I kept this service, the worse it got.
I tried multiple times to kindly resolve issues in hopes to not have to go through searching again (my business relationships tend to have more longevity because I am not one that likes turn-over... it takes time I don't have; I like stability; plus with the very nature of this... the issues of finding people you trust in your home, etc). Well... not only did the issues not get resolved, they kept piling up. She got offended by the fact that things were left undone and I addressed them.... instead of actually fixing the issues.
Sidenote: I had a cleaning service for 12 years (til she retired) and the few "issues" (just understanding what a client wants... normal stuff)... we had in the beginning got fixed and it was an excellent relationship. I've had a couple of others that cleaned on the side (not their primary business) and did a better job for much less $$.
Anyway... I was willing to pay more for CC because I was told I would get more. We went into detail about what "deep cleaning" entailed and she charged quite heftily for the "deep cleaning" service. Suffice it to say, I did not get what she and I agreed to. Not even close.
***** To make things worse, I told her multiple times that I did not want anyone else in my home without her there (it kept being brought up because she wasn't able to always be available... so I let her know each time, and each time I tried to make it even more clear)... I did not want anyone in my home without her there. My reason is because she rarely ever had the same people twice - she went through several turn-overs. And I made the mistake of trusting her. She literally ignored my request about MY HOME (without anyone there!) and sent someone else to clean by themselves (I have no clue who she is!). She betrayed my trust totally.
***** Not only that, when I got home, my home was NOT clean. She was only here a little over an hour (what one person can do with 3,000 sqft in just over an hour isn't much). I had to clean the toilets (none were done), empty most of the trash cans, make the bed, re-dust (it was swiped through) and sweep the floors (literally visible crud on the steps and all the hard floors), etc.... and was charged the FULL amount(!)... she refused to adjust the price. I had left the check for the full amount as I always did, so - she got away with it.
I hired a service because I don't have time, but my husband and I together spent another hour cleaning that day (= 2 hours worth). I tried to talk to her about it as kindly as could be... and she got "not nice" and very unprofessional.
To make a long story short, and to be straight up honest - I was ripped off by CC. We agreed to a biweekly DEEP cleaning service, which was why I agreed to pay her more than what any other cleaning service had quoted me. She was the HIGHEST. I'm willing to pay more to get more. I not only did not receive a deep clean, I didn't even receive a good "fluff" job.
Just want to add along those lines... she had gotten away with only a "fluff" clean once before, but "sweet-talked" me to be understanding of her family issues (she still charged me the full amount... and I decided to let it go and "be a blessing" to her. I obviously regret that decision now). So I let it slide the first time.
There's more to this that I could say, but I'll just say... beware. I deeply regret my decision to hire CC. Obviously, in the end, I fired this service due to the gross lack of integrity, character, work-ethic, & professionalism. In a nutshell, they are not trustworthy and undependable.
* By the way, I have since hired another service who does deep cleaning for considerably less $$! ($35 less/cleaning!) And so far, so good. They're doing more for less. So... I guess in the end, it all worked out for the best. read more
