They responded that night, in English, and confirmed an appointment for the following night. During my appointment time, I was literally the only client, which was wonderful. They are a small boutique spa place where they can only accept a very limited number of clients at a time. This means you really get to enjoy and relax during your experience instead of feeling rushed or being disturbed by others. I got the the package deal where I got a 30 minute soak in the jet pool with essential oil, then 60 minute full body massage with herbs and oil, and a 30 minute head and neck massage. I felt so relaxed and zen by the end of my treatment that I'm trying to plot out how long should I wait to do it again. They are located on the 3rd floor of an unassuming office building. There is an underground parking garage you can use or a few limited street side parking. If your appointment is after hours, you will need to be buzzed in. I comminuted via email with Claudia who speaks both English and German. I ended up calling them and Claudia verbally walked me through the process of how to get into the building. Matthias, the masseuse, welcomed me and both he and Claudia gave me a tour of the facility, which can accommodate a couple's retreat. As for the treatment, I first selected the herbs I wanted to use for my massage, then the oil for my bath, finally I selected the hot tea I would be sipping during my soak. You can go full nude or wear a swimsuit. I was somewhat unprepared and didn't bring a suit, which worked out better in the end. Matthias was super professional as he worked on all the little muscles. He first diagnosed my back at the beginning of the treatment and then worked on issues during the massage. It felt wonderful. I really LOVED my experience there and can't wait to make an appointment with them for the next time.

We thought it meant it would be packed but for the most part it was a good amount of people. The amount of saunas and Dampfbads is really good and the temperature range didn't disappoint. The place is a literal maze to walk through, which brings mixed reviews. Everywhere you go is themed which is cute. Downfalls: more showers and hair dryers in the bathroom would be nice. More places to lay down, or someone checking that people aren't hogging the daybeds the entire time just by throwing their towels down. But all in all, not the best I've been too but would definitely go again.

I told her it hurt a little- which was me trying not to whimp out, but I don't think she understood me, because she kept right on. I couldn't relax, because it hurt so much that I kept tensing up. That night it was very uncomfortable to sleep on my back and I had to take pain ibuprofen for the pain and swelling. The massage loosened up my muscles, but did not break up the knots and pressure points I was hoping it would. Maybe after many sessions it would. This was the medium massage, so maybe the softer one would be better. The massage therapist was friendly and the price was reasonable, but I think I need a massage that's not so tough. The actual massage was horrible, it was a oily skin rub. There was no actual massaging of muscles. I have gotten massages in multiple countries to include Thailand and this was the absolute worst. I was very pleased with the amount of individual attention I received as I explained my surgery and recovery history. The therapist explained her recommendations in detail to me before moving to the massage room. Needless to say, I became very comfortable with her understanding of my post-surgical needs and the way she identified the ideal treatment to address them. The first treatment I received was a reflexology-type massage where she used a small rod to apply pressure to various points on my feet. (This was uniquely relaxing for me.) The next massage was the traditional Thai massage which is done over garments. (I was provided with massage garments upon entering the massage room). I had never received a Thai massage before, but this was a welcomed treat for my ailments. Before I forget, there are several other treatments and wellness options which you can see on their website. The business isn't set up yet for credit cards, so plan accordingly. Street parking is available and limited parking exists across the street. (Small street) The entrance experience was a bit off-setting, but I proceeded to go inside. But note that there's a doorbell on the gate in case the shop's door behind it is closed. I highly recommend calling in advance to set up an appointment. (Calling after morning hours, "the day of" can be a gamble because she might be with a customer and she doesn't have hired help.) I personally feel I got plenty of attention and did not feel rushed through the session today. She definitely wasn't like certain therapists who are strict clock-watchers and like to start their sessions 10-15 minutes into the hour. I have absolutely no complaints. I'll be coming back for another session soon! =)
