Have played this course for years but only a couple times in the past five years. Sunday, walk up single, 3:00 tee time, parking lot Jammed full. Was expecting a 5-6 hour round, finished in 4:09. This may have been the quickest weekend round in years. Tee time spacing was 10 minutes, waited once at 16. Every golfer got their own cart, nobody Allowed to touch the flagstick. They have a device to retrieve the ball from the hole using your putter, worked fine. Round came with hot dog, chips and fountain soft drink. Course was great but unlucky for me the greens had just been punched but had been sanded and rolled. I've missed this place, can't wait to get back out.

Grilled chicken sandwich with a side of coleslaw. $8.50.

I give Cobblestone 3 stars for the condition of the course, but 4 stars in just about every other facet: course layout, scenery, service, and amenities. This municipal course up in Acworth has a bit of private club flair. The course is challenging, but fun. I've played this track on and off since 2007, back when it was a part of the Affiniti Golf Tour (now Mosaic Clubs and Resorts). This course has a bag drop with multiple attendants, a cart staging/return area with cart boys who'll clean your clubs off after your round and send them back up to the drop, an air gun to clean your shoes, and a speaker system to announce who's next up on the tee. It's like you're playing in a tournament or something. I have played in one Affiniti tournament here as well as multiple company tournament rounds. The pro shop is nice. It's filled with all sorts of equipment and apparel. The grill is basic, but has the food and drink essentials, plus a decent dining area with great views of the back nine and 18. You hit off grass at the driving range which is located across the parking lot from the course. The practice putting green is large and in good condition. It's located just before the first tee. There's a covered outdoor structure near the practice putting green which is used for tournaments and events. The course itself measures 6,759 yards from the tips with a rating/slope of 73.2/137. I've played from both the blue tees and white tees. From the blues, the course measures 6,272 yards with a rating/slope of 71.0/130. From the whites, the course measures 5,843 yards with a rating/slope of 69.0/126. I generally like the layout and design. Several holes are especially beautiful because they are played alongside Lake Acworth where you'll see all sorts of folks in the water on boats, canoes, kayaks, fishing, etc. Some of my favorite holes include Nos. 3 (par 3), 4 (par 4), 15 (par 5), and 16 (par 3). Those are some of the holes played along the lake and they are quite scenic. They feel resort-like. As for price, the last couple times I played here, I paid about $60-70 per Saturday morning round. I've booked both through Cobblestone's website and by calling them. You have to pay more for tee times booked more than 4 days in advance. This course can get filled up quickly so book early. I don't believe Cobblestone is on any tee time discount site like TeeOff.com or GolfNow. $60-70 is on the higher end for a muni, but as mentioned above, Cobblestone does have amenities that several other munis do not. The fees are comparable to similar tier facilities such as BridgeMill, Woodmont, and RiverPines. The greens are Champion Dwarf Bermudagrass like Bradshaw Farm in Woodstock (another course my coworkers in Cobb County like to play). Like other courses in Georgia, Cobblestone's holes have a variety of elevation changes and most of the holes are tall-tree-lined. Condition-wise, the fairways have a lot of dry/dirt patches. Not good. The course has seen better days. At least the bunkers are filled with white, fluffy sand. The good kind. Friendly service, from the cart boys to the pro shop to the starter. It'd be nice if the beverage girls started their rounds sooner. We had an early tee time our last round (7:40am) and we didn't see a beverage cart girl until the back nine! By then, we didn't need anything cause we stocked up at the turn assuming there was no beverage cart for the day.

Absolutely NOT a course for recreational players. Way too many holes are protected by at least two bunkers and/or water. Many holes have two bunkers aside a narrow opening to the green - you need to be really accurate to hit in between them to get on the green. One hole has a bunker that's bigger than the green. My foursome had two players in the sand on virtually every hole - sometimes three of us went in. To avoid the sand, you often wind up hitting too long. There are also sand traps along the fairway. You'd think that over the last 30 years they would have filled in one or two of these traps per year if this is the way the course was MIS-designed. This course seems like it was designed to host PGA tournaments. This is not "challenging." It is a non-stop test of whether you can be accurate with 80% of your drives, fairway shots and approaches. If you want to work on your game in the area of getting out of the sand - this is the course for you!

Rainy day golf, so our round wasn't one for the books but Cobblestone is a good course. - The facility is nice and has everything you need. - Bag boys (no girls, just boys) at the ready. - Beverage cart was nowhere to be seen but given the weather and how few people were silly enough to play in the rain, can't really find fault here. - Greens are great. The grass is in good shape, balls roll true and there are lots of contours to test your putting skills. - Similarly, the fairways are decent, too. I almost always found the lie I expected (good if in the fairway, not as good but fair if in the rough). - Tee boxes are OK. I don't place much value on the condition of tee boxes, though. If I can get a tee into the ground with a level stance, that's good enough. That said, the box on 16 was horrible. - Because of the rain, the bunkers were difficult to play out of (hard packed sand), but it looks like they're in good shape for dry weather. - Course layout/design. Maybe the best part? It's very scenic and offers quite a variety of hole design. I'm a short hitter, so I take my driver out on pretty much all par 4's and 5's but golfers with more length need to consider their target before selecting a club, which is a good thing. - Kind of pricey for a municipal course but it plays and feels like a better non-muni.

great layout- thats a 4 star layout terrible time of year to play (late october) grass was overseeded grass was not cut tee box grass was longer than my tee course was sopping wet greens were super slow I know they are trying to take care of the course but overall, not a great experience. has some great potential if the basics were taken care of, which I know will be when the season is right.

Great and challenging course, the Marshall's and starters have this down to a tee. Treated like royalty from the moment you walk in. Pace of play could use some work but maybe I just went on an extra busy Sunday. But he course albeit challenging is in wonderful shape.

Great layout. .. but tee box and green conditions are often poor. Employees can often seem indifferent and not customer service oriented.

The current TifEagle ultradwarf bermudagrass greens were installed in 2019. They were in fantastic shape. The course overall, tee to green, was in decent shape for the price. Relatively new carts, with GPS, in good condition too. There's still a temporary green in the middle of the fairway on the par-5 14th hole. They should probably get rid of it. It's weird and confusing. Why play to that green when the permanent 14th green is in great shape? I'm still not a huge fan of the shoehorned layout (never have been), but the course is convenient to most of my golf buddies and coworkers and it's a good value. It's awkward how 14 tee butts up against 16 fairway, right where drives on 16 land.

As someone who's worked in that exact role, I know what should be expected. When we pulled up, no one greeted us or offered help unloading clubs. After paying, they still didn't assist or say welcome. They were all on their phones and didn't seem interested in helping at all. The experience on the course itself was great, but some basic hospitality and enthusiasm from the cart crew would go a long way. Hopefully, management takes note.

Yes, it used to be public until it became part of Canongate. ClubCorp later acquired Bentwater in a large multi-course acquisition in 2014. ClubCorp packaged Bentwater, which is located in Acworth, with Eagle Watch Golf Club, which is located in Woodstock. The two courses are about 35 minutes apart (with no traffic), but you can play both under one membership. That way, ClubCorp can market Bentwater and Eagle Watch together as 36 holes. Bentwater is a good 35-45 minutes north of Atlanta, up I-75 (take exit 278). It's worth the drive. The course is challenging, but fun. I have several memories here. The course was always in good condition the times we played it. The fairways and rough were lush and the greens (bentgrass) rolled true. The course opened in 2000 and was designed by Georgia Tech grad Mike Dasher. To date, it's the only Dasher design I've played. This is the only course I've played where the red tees are the tips. From the tips, the course measures 6,869 yards with a 73.5/143 rating/slope. Par 72. We played from the blues and whites. The blues measure 6,517 yards (71.8/137) and the whites measure 5,991 yards (69.2/132). It's not PGA Tour long, but it's long for weekend hackers like me. I consider this course above average in difficulty and I enjoyed the challenge. I had some pretty solid rounds here (by my low standards). The course is built within a subdivision. It's hilly. Most of the fairways are lined with trees, but there are several holes with houses on them. Aside from creeks, there's no water to contend with except on holes 9 and 18, each of which features its own scenic pond. The 9th hole is a medium-length par-5 where the pond comes into play on your 2nd shot. The 18th is a par-4 that plays downhill off the tee and slightly back uphill to an elevated green guarded on its front and left sides. You can miss short and right there and still be OK. The most memorable hole for me is No. 10. It's a long par-5 with a dramatic elevation change off the tee. From tee to green, it's a 90+foot drop. You can gain some serious distance off the tee thanks to that downhill shot. It's the No. 1 handicap hole (toughest on the course). They like to start you off on some long holes as holes 1 and 10 are both par-5s and the two longest holes on the course. The 1st hole is fun as well. They are strict about pace of play, at least the times we played. The marshals got on to our groups more than once. Granted, we were playing tournament rounds and thus were probably taking more time than we would a casual round. One time, we were comped rounds after having to deal with pace of play issues. Along with the 18-hole course, Bentwater has a driving range, medium-size practice putting green, and practice short game area with two small bunkers. The clubhouse is fine. This is an adequate mid-tier private club. If you're familiar with metro Atlanta golf courses, Governors Towne Club, designed by Curtis Strange, is right next door. Governors is nicer, but more expensive and exclusive.

Instead, Mountasia turned it into a complete disaster that left us stressed, embarrassed, and heartbroken. From the start, it was chaos. They wrote down the wrong date, so when we arrived, it looked like we were the ones unprepared. Imagine showing up with excited kids and family only to feel like you're the problem when you did everything right. The party room wasn't ready until an hour late, the food came out way behind schedule, and the cake -- the centerpiece of the whole celebration -- was delayed so long that some guests gave up and left before even seeing it. The children were restless, confused, and disappointed. There was no service whatsoever. We didn't get the water bottles we paid for, staff disappeared when we needed them most, and instead of enjoying the party, we were running around begging for help. I couldn't even focus on the kids. My heart sank when my nephew fell and started bleeding because I was busy chasing staff down instead of being there with him. That's the kind of day it was. To make matters worse, when the food finally came, staff acted like it was a burden to serve the chicken we had chosen. They literally said, "Most people just order pizza." If you can't serve what you advertise, then don't put it on the menu. We paid for it -- we deserved it without the attitude. Even something as small as buying a plush toy turned into a 30-minute wait at an empty register because, apparently, "they're short on staff." And the final blow? My sister called management afterwards, desperate for some kind of acknowledgment or apology. Instead, she was mocked. They told her she "wasn't clear," sarcastically wished her "good luck getting a refund," refused to give their names, pretended to be managers, and then hung up on her. Who does that to a parent after ruining a child's birthday? I cannot express the disappointment and sadness we felt. We paid for a party package, but what we got was stress, humiliation, and tears. My nephew deserved joy, laughter, and celebration. Instead, Mountasia took that away from him and from us. Please -- if you love your children, if you respect your family and your time, stay far, far away from this place. They don't just ruin parties, they ruin memories that you can never get back.
