If you are a follower of Jesus and want an excellent education for your children then this is a great school for you. The teachers are there because they are passionate about teaching and about seeing each child excel at their pace and level. Parent involvement is 6 hours a month volunteer service hours, but this is really a good thing in so many ways for so many reasons. CCA loves Jesus! I'm constantly impressed by CCA's efforts to make all the kids feel loved and valued. One example is their Gold Book system. If children are "caught" doing something good, they are sent to the principal's office for a reward and recognition with their name written in the Gold Book. This makes my daughter feel so encouraged and appreciated. They also work closely with the students on communication / emotional skills, and conflict resolution to create a safe environment. The small class sizes allow for more individual attention. The quality of academic education is also excellent. The teachers/staff are passionate, dedicated, very skilled, and professional, making it a joy to learn. They do a great job of listening and implementing feedback from parents. The many opportunities for parental involvement makes the learning experience even richer. Also, the option for parents to put in service hours makes tuition even more affordable. I feel like we're getting an amazing deal here. How blessed are the students to have chapel and worship time every morning! They teach and exemplify Biblical values. We have two children attending Coastline, one in 4th grade and another in Jr. high. Our children transitioned from homeschooling to 'traditional' school two and a half years ago. Attending Coastline has been a wonderful part of their educational endeavors. The small class size, excellent teaching and caring relationships from the staff, coupled with a Biblical focus have allowed our children to flourish educationally, spiritually and socially. The teachers are at Coastline because they love teaching, have a strong desire to see children grow and mature in their faith and are committed to working as a team. There is very little staff turn over and one of the comments I hear from the staff is how MUCH they love working at Coastline. Our principal is a strong leader, who leads by example and is honest, kind and loving. She has a unique ability to balance all of the duties related to leading a school with grace, humility, kindness and strength. I am especially thankful for the Jr High program at Coastline. I can't say enough about Coastline. It is such a loving environment. Not only is it highly academic but our kids are being taught to live a Christ centered life. Coastline provides an important opportunity for school choice in our community. We have many excellent public schools, but some children and families desire a different option, for a variety of unique reasons. Coastline is a small, affordable, loving, faith-based K-8 school in Goleta. Each grade only has one classroom, and the class sizes are small enough where each student is known. Teachers are well-trained and regularly growing in their skills professionally. The administration is wise, reasonable, and dedicated. All three of my children have spent some of their years at Coastline, and are better for it. Currently, I have a sixth grade student attending the school, who has been there since second grade. I am consistently impressed and thankful for the personal attention given to my son when he has needed extra support. The staff have also recognized his individuality and given him opportunities to shine. Another positive feature of this school community is the parent involvement: as a part of keeping tuition low, families are asked to provide a small amount of service hours each month. This "requirement" has the positive effect of keeping everyone connected and aware of life at school. I highly recommend Coastline Christian Academy for any family desiring a faith-based education in a small but vibrant setting. read more

Would not recommend this school. They fail to train up each child according to his or her unique giftings, learning needs, and future callings. They play favorites, shame children, some of the teachers are less qualified, and they lack the resource advantages of public school funding. read more
