Christi took time to take us on separate house hunts (my husband was away for quite some time for work), and she was available 24/7 from start to finish. The owners of our new home were not quite ready to move out as soon as we needed to be in, but she worked this all out for us, and even stayed at the house to work through an issue where the previous owner had left quite a few things behind. We've been with them for over 6 years and when it came time to sell they acted as our realtor got our place sold. Some key highlights: -Always filled our rental quickly if we had a tenant move out. -Fixed any maintenance issues quickly and gave us the best possible prices for repair, often doing the work themselves and doing it well. -Maintained excellent communication despite being half a world away using a combination of text, email, and voice when appropriate. They were always available. -Worked on outside when having to deal with a difficult neighbor. When I first applied for the home I currently am in - Chuck was AMAZING to me!!! He worked with me thru the entire process. We had very open communication of what was expected of me and what I was needing and wanting from them being a single mother and a new tenant. While being in the home I had very minor issues - however recently I lost the AC in the house. I submitted my claim thru the portal which is set up for you when you become not only one of their clients but you become part of the family! After I submitted my request to have work done on the AC we had communication. They told me they had reached out to someone to come look at the unit and I should hear from them shortly. Well within 30 minutes I had a call from the AC technician and he was at my house within the hour. He told me he was not able to fix the system but he would be in touch with me on how we were going to proceed with getting it fixed. Since the system was going to be replaced Chuck provided a AC to the house to help keep it cool and also providing comfort for my family! Anytime I have had to reach out to Rental Homes USA it has always been very pleasant and great. I am sad that I will no longer be renting from them, since I have purchased my own home out of state, but if I was to return back to the area they would be the first ones I would reach out too! My…read morehusband and I first met Chris through a random Zillow search that connected us to Chris as we embarked on a property search for my daughter's first home purchase. We live in Yorktown, and were unfamiliar with realty companies and through that first encounter with Chris on Zillow-were happy to work with him when he reached out and made introduction and agreed to work with us. Chris worked tirelessly with us, and was extremely responsive, no matter what time or day of the week. Oftentimes we would locate potential properties but were unable to cross the HRBT to tour them and Chris by then knew what we were looking for and provided us video tours and insights on properties. Chris was always steady, encouraging and ready to lend professional guidance when we were not familiar with certain areas and amenities at the Beach. The initial process to get prequalified started in August of 2022. By the time Chris came on board and we started the search in earnest-we had already been looking on our own for several months. 10+ months later, and over 150 properties, 11 properties that we bid on and lost, FINALLY on June 18, 2024-Chris helped us to the finish line to close on a property in Pembroke Crossing Condominiums. During a point towards the end of the 10 months, Chris took a well deserved break and went on a European honeymoon with his wife. (We spent so much time with him, we feel like he is now family!)- In his absence, he asked Edwin to fill in for him. Luckily, or unluckily-depending on Edwin's perspective -- we hit a streak where we had a long list of properties to tour and several of them resulted in Edwin working up the contract offers for us. None of them panned out and we felt like it was not going to be in the cards that we would be able to find a property for her that checked all of the boxes and was within her budget. But- just when we thought it was never going to happen, a previous property that we had made an offer on came back on the market. Edwin was right there when we made the new offer, worked up the contract quickly and kept the pedal down the whole way to get the seller a quick sale due to her having a property in Florida contingent on the sale of the Va. Beach property. Edwin was responsive 24/7, friendly, focused and professional in his expert handling of the negotiation and offer paperwork. The best part for us was that Edwin was there when our daughter realized that she was going to get the house---her offer had been accepted --and the look on her face and his is something I hope I never forget. Chris arrived back from his honeymoon in time to handle the final details and be with us at the closing. Buying a home is a stressful undertaking especially in the challenging times we find ourselves in. Maybe that's why my husband and I are in the same home we purchased in 1986!. My daughter's first home buying experience was fraught with uncertainty and disappointment but not because of Chris or Edwin!-They listened to her and guided their search to try and accommodate her preapproved budget and desired areas/criteria. She is super happy and looking forward to moving in soon to her new home.
