Definitely try the hour if you have a friend or two to ride with. The staff was super laid back and friendly, but still serious enough to follow all the necessary water-safety protocols. Now the cherry on top would have to be the view. So peaceful and picturesque once you get out there (I forgot my phone so I don't have a pic to post, just trust me)! It's worth every penny! Get a jet ski on the right day and you can sustain top speeds for a good minute or two before having to turn to stay within the jet-ski boundaries (plenty of water to cruise). I'll definitely make this a to do every time I visit Cedar Point and/or Breakers Resort.

(Go to the blue boat and turn around) I did that at 3-4 miles an hour and then I was instructed to do so again and out of frustration I did it a little quicker? Maybe 10mph? I know I was feathering the throttle and not holding it wide open or anything. When I came back the employee was losing his mind. Screaming at me like I did something wrong when all I did was follow instructions. The instructions were "go out to the blue boat and turn around". No one told me to stop there? So I did that AGAIN and they freaked out! I was dumbfounded???? So I carried on as it is a rental and I'm on the clock and headed out to the lake Erie break wall AS INSTRUCTED. After waiting for the attendant for ten minutes I drive the jet ski back in with my 8 year old daughter on the back. About half way back I see the employee waving me in. So I go right up next to his jet ski and hear him on the phone with law enforcement! I stayed very close to him as he told them I was extremely uncooperative! I'm literally right next to him and I have no idea what I've done that was uncooperative? They called the police on me for some reason? I don't know what. I get back to the dock, Park the jet ski and I just want to get out of there. Sincerely I was afraid, what would you call the cops on me? Apparently what they didn't explain is that I had to follow them out on a boat that they would be driving. They said to go to the blue boat and turn around and I did that twice. They didn't tell me to stay there. I'm 42 my hearing isn't the best. If they said that I didn't catch it. If they said they were leading us with a boat I didn't catch it. I thought he'd be following us on a jet ski. I'm obviously not out to break the law with my 8 year old daughter on the back of a jet ski. So I ask for my card and ID and they refused to give it to me. They said "the cops are on the way". So they held my id and card long enough for the cops to arrive. Still at this point I have no idea what I've done wrong. I've never once ever in my life heard of a business that calls the police on their customers. So when the police arrive they are in disbelief of the whole situation. The police officer admitted to me that the man called them. How else would he know they were their way? They denied they called the cops but I still have no idea what I did wrong? When law enforcement arrived I was cooperative, they made sure the employee gave me the owners contact information. If there was something I really did wrong I'm sure they would've told me but this employee could not believe I misunderstood what he said to do and as a result I had to talk to police over it. I called the owner today to try to find a solution. An exchange, a refund or something if that nature and he was very aggressive and uncooperative calling me a nuisance. I didn't appreciate that. I tried to focus on the solution, he was focused on accusatory comments. "He's never seen anything like it" "you were screaming at my employees" well then go ahead and post the video and audio if the situation. It's embarrassing to have the cops called on you, to have my daughter crying thinking her dad is about to get arrested. You should be ashamed of yourself Jonathan who is afraid to give his last name. I actually have a lot more to say but I'll leave it at that. Pay attention or they'll call the cops on you

Erie Wake Zone is our new Go To location for watercraft rental. The owners are very outgoing and…read moreknowledgeable. We left feeling like we just made two new friends! The process of renting our jet ski was very smooth. We took a brief 10 question test on how to properly operate the ski on the water then discussed the incorrect answers. Afterwards, we received a brief demonstration and were on our way! There are no escorts like a lot of companies use, it was just my wife and I on the lake! The prices are very reasonable - the same or cheaper than most other companies. Plus, returning customers get a free 30 minutes on the water! You can't beat that deal. We will definitely be back! I highly recommend Erie Wake Zone!

I've been with a group renting one of the boats from Great Lakes a couple of times now, and it's a…read morepretty fun experience. Full disclosure, I haven't been the captain or the one to make the reservation, so I can't speak to those parts of the experience. There's some public parking near the dock, and you go up to the little shack to sign your waiver. There isn't a bathroom at this dock, but you can walk down to where the big boats for the music cruise dock and there's a small restroom over there. Once your whole group is signed in, the boats are at a floating dock, and you can just hop on and go. We've done both the pontoon boat and the speed boat. The speed boat was definitely more fun, because it goes faster, but the pontoon is a little more roomy for a slow cruise, your choice. You can bring snacks and drinks along for the ride. There are usually a handful of staff launching boats and getting people loaded. They're friendly and fun. One slight drawback to the 2 hour cruise is that you are on the inside of the railway bridge, so if it's down, you're stuck on the river and have to wait for it to go back up, and sometimes it's a pretty narrow window. If you're on the lake side of the bridge, you risk getting stuck outside and running over your time. I believe the Captain has to do a little safety course prior to the activity, but otherwise, it's pretty easy! Definitely a fun activity, and a way to get yourself a boat day if you don't have an invitation.

This Rico guy is an IDIOT! He decided to just randomly cancel my reservation last minute. I had…read morebooked a jet ski the day before and this clown thinks it's fine to just randomly cancel my booking 2 hours before I'm supposed to be on the water. No call, no attempt to reschedule, nothing. Completely unprofessional and I would book with caution if I were you. I had to reschedule with competitor's services.
